Cheerful Spring Scent
Bruno Banani is evolving. Last year, I had great experiences with "Absolute Woman (Eau de Toilette) | Bruno Banani." This scent differs from the previous light waters. This year, with the new addition, another beautiful fragrance has been created.
The beginning is a bit like fresh sunscreen, without the usual coconut punch. Raspberry and orange soften the nutty notes. All the while, jasmine is present. But not the heavy jasmine that often causes headaches; rather, it’s the slightly more robust garden jasmine that blooms around Pentecost. Frangipani and tuberose ensure that the bitterness doesn’t become too intense. Sandalwood and cedar, with a hint of vanilla, round off the scent without diminishing its cheerfulness. Vanilla has a tendency to quickly drift into the territory of baking oil or Christmas pastries, which I’m not fond of.
I usually approach jasmine scents with skepticism, as they tend to trigger migraines for me. But here, with a longevity of about 8 hours, there’s no trace of that. A very successful fragrance for spring/summer that radiates cheerfulness and makes older among us hum "Butterfly" by Danyel Gerard.
The pointed design of the bottle isn’t my thing, as it tends to ruin the lining of bags.
Whether I will buy and wear it, I don’t know. It reminds me too much of my friend who passed away too soon, with whom I was confirmed. She loved jasmine scents above all else in her youth, while I was always more drawn to lily of the valley scents and still am. We were always very different, both in appearance and in character.
