From great to dull
Burberry Body is a scent made for the stores. It starts out so great. It lures you in, whispering: I am so interesting. Buy me! And then after some time it becomes yet one more scent smelling of whatever… at least that is my opinion. If you buy it - buy it for the opening. Because this has a brilliant opening. I think it is the absint that makes it so interesting, since I know apple and peach and they are not at all dominant here. So, a lovely, new acquaintance for me. Then arrives the rose and the tea. They calm it down a bit and, sadly, it becomes less interesting. I do not get any iris but I do not think it would have made a difference. The base is okay but very subtle. All in all this is not one of Burberry’s best scents, apart from the opening. Since I guess it is the absint note that does the trick, I shall seek out other scents with this note instead. Perhaps they invite me on a more interesting journey.
