Clean fruity floral shampoo

It's a vibe rather than individual notes, which is something I've noticed with the other Kurdjian scents I've tried. It's clean, fruity, floral, soapy. What are the fruits and flowers? No idea, nothing stands out on its own.

That's nice in some ways, it's pleasant, but it's also kind of boring? I think there are others in this category that I like better, like Diptyque or Ralph Lauren Romance.

"What I Am Not" or "The Bouncing Curl"

Almost every Burberry makes me shrink.

No, not into an old hag.

As soon as one of them touches my skin, I feel myself getting smaller and younger, my voice becomes squeaky, the feminine.....uh....attributes disappear and within seconds I feel like I am 8 years old again.
At most.

Then I feel the almost irresistible urge to joyfully skip across a postcard-like flower meadow, to swing towards the sky like Heidi, and to roll down the hills with Peter the Goat Herd.

“My Burberry Blush” takes it a step further.
I sprout blonde corkscrew curls that gracefully bob up and down in sync while skipping through the meadow.
Additionally, I suddenly wear a delicate white lace dress and matching, utterly adorable sandals.
I feel sugary sweet and absolutely lovely.

The only problem is - I find long hair terrible.
Delicate dresses too.
Especially with lace.
And white even more so.

As a child, I already loudly insisted on short hair because the long fuss annoyed me, and I would scream bloody murder when my mom wanted to put me in “pretty things.” That damned stuff itched, scratched, pressed, and pinched everywhere.

I hurt myself pretty badly rolling down hills many years ago, swinging now makes me feel sick, and there are ticks in tall meadows.

This fragrance is so cute, so pretty, so innocent, so fresh like the young morning..... and so not me at all.

Yesterday, my friend and I - dripping wet from the continuous rain - wandered through the department store and took a break in the perfume section.

Oh - a new My Burberry!

I had a rough start with the EdP back then - it was more of a love at second sight. But Blush is much more approachable and instantly evokes sympathy. This is what summer could be - if it were actually happening. But Blush pushes the gray rain clouds aside and shines out of the bottle. A very sunny English fragrance - although I have experienced its homeland in a similar way.

Lemon and pomegranate start off fresh - mixed with crisp apple. Rose and geranium soothe, and the wisteria adds its exquisite note to round it off. Blush concludes with subtle British elegance.

A familiar, positive scent - with good longevity, to which I can directly say Yes!

Rosamunde Pilcher in a Bottle

During my last city stroll, I sprayed My Burberry Blush and the scent somehow captivated me and hasn't let go since. I absolutely wanted to have it.

Now I have it, and I still like it, but... somehow it's different from the other fragrances I know from Burberry. It's so pleasing and almost cries out: "please, please love me." I don't find that bad, as everyone wants to feel liked and loved. Still, I suddenly feel like something is missing. My Burberry Blush has no edges or corners. It starts with cheerful/friendly lemon and apple. Pretty quickly, rose and jasmine join in, and that's it. I can't really imagine a scent note under wisteria, and I don't perceive any other component. Nothing jabs or pricks, and that's probably exactly what "bothers" me. For me, it's just too perfect. I wanted exactly such a "good mood fragrance." Now I'm not satisfied with that either. My Burberry Blush is like Rosamunde Pilcher in a bottle. Cute cottages in Cornwall, pastel-colored roses, and apple trees with plump, juicy apples in the garden.

We women are strange creatures. First, we wish for something, and when we get exactly that, we start searching for the fly in the ointment. Yet the scent is made for spring and summer. Maybe the weather is to blame. That must be it, for sure. My Burberry Blush probably just needs spring-like or even summery temperatures to truly unfold. It will definitely get at least one more chance (probably more like two or three), because it is really beautiful.

I find the bottle really well done, which I can't say about the packaging of its checkered brothers and sisters. The 30 ml version lacks the pink ribbon, but I can overlook that.

My Burberry Blush is clearly a women's fragrance, as I can't imagine a guy I would want to smell it on, and I also doubt that men want to smell like this. The sillage is rather weak or at least weaker than I'm used to from the other fragrances of the British traditional house. The longevity is also less than with the others. For me, it lasts about 4, at most 5 or 6 hours.

Update 19.05.18 My Burberry Blush and I do not match, although I still find the scent very successful, but just not for me, and therefore I gifted it to my youngest daughter today. She was absolutely thrilled with the first spray, and it definitely suits her better.

Clean but Sour

I like powdery, soapy, shampoo-like scents and I fell for this one when a blogger spoke so beautifully about it. But no, this is not at all what I had imagined. It does give a fresh feeling, but it has too few flowers, too little powder in it, and simply smells sour (probably due to pomegranate and lemon). I miss amber and/or a little musk here. Such a shame. However, I find the bottle very pretty. Those who can wear this scent are lucky. I'm a bit envious;-)
