A soft peck on the cheek
This is mainly a clean white musk. I can clearly smell the cooling powdery iris here, and especially in the opening the scent doesn't show a lot of warmth. It feels soapy, laundry-like and almost aldehydic.
That changes in the drydown. Vanilla and benzoin aren't really prominent, but they make the whole composition warmer, sweeter and quite cozy. I wish I got more of the black pepper and mandarin, I can barely sense these notes and I think they could have added some interest.
The way it is, Besos is nice and extremely wearable, but it also feels very familiar. Even though can't name any specific perfumes it reminds me of, I have definitely smelled similar scent profiles elsewhere, even in lower price brackets. For my taste, this is a little too dry, I prefer my clean musks a tad creamier. These little details are always very personal though, it could be just right for someone else.

Carner's official websites describes this perfume as a "sultry ballad that beckons with fervor". That couldn't be further from my impression. It's office friendly. A sweet, harmless little kiss on the cheek or the forehead, nothing too passionate.

Refreshing creaminess
Besos is so pleasant, refreshing scent. It smells almost like body lotion but in perfume version. This scent is perfect for your mornings in the office, hot days in the city and just gives you this pleasant clean aura. You can perfectly layer this scent with more fruity perfumes, which refreshes a bit the sweetness of the fruits. Besos is an inoffensive scent. It's youthful. You would never get a headache from this one and you most likely can not overspray it. I love it after a short night or right after my showers... I love it and will always do.

Musk overload
Besos smells to my nose like laundry detergent or bathroom cleaner. On the one hand, it is a musk bomb, but the cheap kind of musk you get in Avon perfumes from the 80s. Weirdly, it is also sharp and clinical, as opposed to the powdery Iris I was hoping for. Not for me.

Kisses from the Spaniard
"Mi Vida," you whisper and press me against the door with your large body. You brace your hands above my head and immediately lower your lips to mine.
I kiss you back eagerly, your taste moistens my tongue. Your hand wanders to my neck into my hair, and your kiss becomes more demanding, urgent, deeper. I lean into you and...STOP, STOP...(Sorry folks, even I am not immune to this lockdown).
This is about 'Bésos'. The scent from my Christmas package, to which my brother had pinned a note saying "Let a Spaniard kiss you, little sister." It was on my wish list. And even my brother probably knew that Bésos is the Spanish word for kisses and that the company Carner Barcelona, well you know.
Promoted as "Hot Ballad," it reveals itself in reality as "A Little Peck After 10 Years of Marriage."
Meaning: Belonging, warmth, and security. It is sweet, powdery, creamy, a bit sensual and enveloping. It is predictable and constant.
For me, it's an all-time favorite, but for deep kisses, something else is needed.

Unisex? Well, I don't know, no...
Oh, and ladies, test it first; some perceive hairspray...

The Soap Opera, Act 1
Kissing happens for all sorts of reasons, in all sorts of ways, at all sorts of places. Sometimes it’s subtle and fleeting, yet it is a powerful instrument of interpersonal communication. There is plenty of creative room to create a perfume.
Carner himself sees "Besos" primarily as a representation of the erotic and passionate aspect.

”A sultry ballad that beckons with fervor; a warm and alluring fragrance.”

"A come-hither kiss, sensual and deep that leaves you wanting more, Besos has an air of romance with a robust sprinkling of lust.
Notes of black pepper, mandarin, jasmine and vanilla mingle together for an aromatic explosion of passion. Its intoxicating mixture of spices and florals will tickle the senses and spark emotions."

I don’t quite agree with that.

Personally, I think more of those moments when you meet your partner in bed, on the sofa, in the meadow, whatever.
10 minutes of time out from the world, just enjoying each other's presence. Feeling the warmth, the fine scent of skin in your nose, listening to the heartbeat, and exchanging gentle kisses again and again.
Intimate, yes, but cozy.

Besos is fundamentally a soapy scent. Bright white, pure, clean, innocent.
In Catalonia, the climate is different; perhaps that also influences the interpretation of a fragrance. To me, seductive scents smell warmer and more tangible. Besos comes across cooler and somehow ethereal.

The opening is overwhelming; a fresh, powdery, soft cloud that almost takes your breath away. After the first wave, fleeting citrus notes join in, and the scent calms down.
The jasmine-laced iris slowly sheds its powderiness and takes command. Softly nestled on musk, the soapy impression begins to emerge. This impression lasts the longest and simply fades away.
At first, I had an image of fresh bed linen in my mind, but later it becomes pure white foamy soap. One of the really good ones.
Although Besos becomes drier towards the end, there is always a slight freshness left. That’s what keeps the pure white impression alive for a long time.
Now and then, however, I do catch a hint of synthetic notes. This is particularly noticeable in comparison to Prada Infusion d'Iris (2015). However, I don’t find it disturbing.

As a perfume, it is not directly perceived. The sillage is not too bad, but Besos is more of a subtle pleasant scent that works immediately in the subconscious.
On the skin, the scent is noticeable for a long time, but if you want some projection, you should reapply it.

150€ for 100ml is quite a bit. Ultimately, I find the Prada Iris Infusion sufficient for half the price. Both scents offer about the same experience and evoke a similar sensory impression. (so soberly economical) But sometimes, it feels like every fragrance molecule hits your taste, and then the question isn’t whether it’s worth the price, but where you can pay for it. I know someone. :)

Since Besos has become available to me through roundabout ways, it’s great to be able to wear the scent from time to time. Although, given how often Besos comes my way, the need isn’t that great. ;)

Despite my bias, I claim that Besos is great! The scent is finely arranged and gives the wearer a good feeling.

To be continued...

A time travel 300 years back. I kiss my gallant on his powdered wig.
Even hours later, his floral-scented powder clings to my nose.

A kiss that completely gets out of control would be nice now...
Here, cozy, friendly kisses on hair and forehead. Well, that's nice too.

Friendly-clean-creamy without abysses, drama, stress. It may sound plain, but it actually smells quite delightful. Linear.

Not a French Kiss, "baiser" isn't here anyway. Iris scent with clean musk.
Harmless. Works for parent-teacher night too.

The opening is striking, quickly settling into a creamy, airy understated scent that fits in the category of everyday wear. Iris-flower musk.
