When Summer Sparkles

The bottle embodies a promise. And it keeps it through and through. Sal y Limón is good mood. Summer. Refreshment. Sparkling excitement. A day dancing under lemon trees. Heat. Thumping hearts and loud laughter. And all with just the right touch of elegance.

The fragrance starts with the most beautiful lemon. Authentic. Tart thanks to bergamot and zesty from the lime. The citrus notes have power. A delicate aquatic gives a hint of saltiness. Gradually, the citrus notes become airier, but remain present throughout the entire fragrance journey. Extraordinary.
Cassis creates a tangy fruity sweetness. The flowers soften the scent but stay in the background. Much of this seductive musk-amber blend provides freshness, cleanliness, and an incredible holiday feeling. I can't quite grasp the patchouli. But it probably contributes to making this blend elegant on the skin.
The longevity is surprisingly good for a freshie. The sillage is moderate but well noticeable. It is especially in this that the saltiness in the name of the fragrance can be recognized. Together with "Molecule 01 | Escentric Molecules," the magic of the fragrance can be enhanced and extended. 7 hours are quite possible. Without support, I can still smell the fragrance easily for 5 to 6 hours.

Sal y Limón is a sparkling mood lifter. It brings sunshine. Energy. And has a noble aura that makes this fragrance more than just a simple summer scent for me. Another fragrance that confirms my enthusiasm for this house. How glad I am that the bottle has moved in.

Absolutely magnificent summer scent under the radar

Sal y Limón is a truly beautiful fragrance. It beautifully highlights the lemon in combination with the lime. Nice zesty citrus and in the background, the blackcurrant is pleasantly noticeable. The blackcurrant adds a great fruity component to the mix.
Additionally, the orange blossom is simply beautifully incorporated.

The scent somehow connects some already known summer fragrances.
For example, the wonderful zestiness from an Afternoon Swim by LV, the fruity blackcurrant of a Creed Aventus. The orange blossom and a certain kind of freshness, as well as the vacation feeling of a Korres Anafi.

This fragrance is fun, surprised me, and fully convinced me.

Pure vacation feeling!

The Sal y Limón is not a fragrance that many people talk about. I was drawn in by the "juicy bottle" and it made me crave summer. The scent notes sounded really delicious, so I ordered it. When the bottle arrived and I unwrapped it, I had a beautiful yellow bottle with a wooden cap to admire. Sprayed on a sunny day, I find it really classy. The Sal y Limón starts off with a fresh, zesty lemon. Super authentic. Slightly bitter from the lime, but that makes the lemon even better. In the dry down, I smell a nice hint of salt reminiscent of the Mediterranean, even though it's not listed. The base of musk, amber, and patchouli gives the fragrance perfect support. I read here that the scent doesn't last long?! I can't agree with that; on me, the fragrance lasts a good 6-8 hours and is well noticeable for me and those around me. A scent that immediately evokes a vacation feeling for me. Are you still looking for a nice lemon fragrance for vacation or for the hot days here? Then go for it, it's absolutely unisex.

Vacation Feelings

I first smelled the fragrance in Milan at Esxence 2022 and was immediately tempted to test it on the back of my hand. By the evening of that day, it was clear to me that I wanted to order a bottle, as the scent was still faintly detectable at that spot (despite several hand sanitizations). Surely, the fragrance has also gained emotional value for me, as I now think of my first visit to a fragrance fair every time I smell it.

The fragrance itself can be classified as fresh/citrusy. Upon spraying, lemon, bergamot, and lime clearly dominate, projecting like crazy. However, after a few minutes, the intensity of these notes subsides, and a light, berry-like sweetness mixes in, along with floral notes that give the composition a "Noble Skin Cream Vibe." Thus, the fragrance loses intensity linearly and consequently does not change in character anymore. With 5 sprays, I can still perceive the scent several hours later within a 0.5m radius, and even after 2 hours at the gym, I received compliments for it.

Certainly, there are more intense summer bombs and perfumes with more exotic citrus combinations, but Sal y Limón does not attempt to be that at all. It's simply a straightforward summer scent that evokes vacation feelings and is easy to take along with the 30ml bottle. In my opinion, this unisex fragrance is no longer tied to a specific gender. Even though the price is a bit steep for the amount of juice, I would recommend everyone at least try it through a sample.

Summer in the 70s

Sal y Limon starts off beautifully lemony and fresh, without being sharp in the nose, like Light Blue does for me, for example. After about 10 minutes, the orange blossom joins in, while I only perceive jasmine as a light hint. The blackcurrant nicely emphasizes the citrus, creating a slightly tart, slightly bitter citrus accord with an underlying fruitiness. This remains surprisingly noticeable for a long time. With a bit of imagination, one might "fancy" that there is also a slightly salty note present. The base notes are rather gentle, warming the fragrance a bit. Especially the musk makes the scent beautifully soft. A wonderfully harmonious drydown, in my opinion. Speaking of which: the entire fragrance smells harmonious to me, all the notes play well together. Therefore, I think it is easy to wear. You can spray the EdP generously; layering it with a molecule scent might make sense to enhance longevity. I will try it out. S y L is quite simply constructed, but exactly the type of summer fragrance I have been searching for forever and have not found until now. It instantly lifts my spirits and evokes a positive mood and an image in me that I associate with my childhood. Suddenly, I have the wildflower and herb meadow that used to exist in the neighborhood where I lived as a child in mind, and how I happily run through it, with a split or capri ice in hand, which I loved to lick in the summer. It's great that I get this vibe and this image with this fragrance! What more could I want..... And what's even nicer: I received the fragrance as a gift for my birthday from my very old, beloved mom. So I will always associate the scent with her.
