Baby, I’m howlin’ for you

It was the summer of 2023 and it had been eons since I had bought a fragrance. The gods of YouTube algorithms were benevolent that day, as I stumbled upon a video that recommended this very scent.

Having never watched anything fragrance related before that, it was quite the lucky suggestion. It sounded beautiful on paper and was the beginning of my niche fragrance journey, as well as a blind buying spree.

This is one beautiful take on a pomegranate with the right kind of patchouli, as I find only some work for my nose and skin. It shines in the warmth of summer, but can easily be worn on warmer days of spring and autumn as well.

It’s very fruity, but not the least bit juvenile, definitely unisex and woodsy leaning due to the patchouli. The black currant in the opening gives off an almost sparkling impression. Think ice cold sparkling water infused with berries.

Jasmine and Lily of the valley are what combines this into something out of this world. It can be worn on a daily basis, but is unique enough to be worn at chosen occasions. This Super Moon is exactly what you want to associate it with. Be it a special night or making every day into something spectacular.

A perfect scent for an all girls' night out

Beginning is tart and juicy with blackcurrant and mandarin orange while pomegranate adds that red fruity sweetness. The trio of fruits in the top notes give off that sophisticated, girls' only night out vibes. It's fun, playful and a bit on the youthful side. White amber appears slowly after, giving warm hugs while jasmine and lily of the valley adds that soft, feminine, white floral kind of scent. The base is slightly spicy, but still filled with warmth and fruity sweetness. Patchouli is well-dosed: I do not get any dark, earthy or dirty notes coming from it, but rather some much needed depth. Musk and vetiver also temper down the sweetness and fruitiness of the top notes, offering a nice contrast to the beginning of the perfume. The dry down reminded me of a high quality fruity body cream.

It's definitely feminine-leaning and should be pleasant for all. It has nice performance: I could still smell it at the end of the day and a nice scent bubble surrounded me while I wore it. The fruits lasted way longer than what I though it would, although amber and musks did end up taking a bit too much space on my skin towards the end. It's an easy pick when you just want to smell like that effortless girl.

Sweet & Slightly Earthy

This might just be my favorite scent from Carner Barcelona, or a tie with Sal y Limon. It's fruity, floral, and just a tinge earthy. The description of the scent gives a very accurate image of what you'd think of when wearing this scent. It reminds me of going up to the bunkers in Barcelona, overlooking the city and the sea at night, with the moon lighting up the sky.
I notice the pomegranate first, then the slightly florals, and I think the patchouli and vetiver round it out very nicely. I think it's a great introductory fragrance to Carner Barcelona and a great daily wear. Very polite, and in my opinion, a crowd pleaser.

Delightful, fruity, summer scent

This is a really lovely summer feminine fragrance. It has a fruity, sparkling opening of pomegranate and blackcurrant and a splash of green from the cassis too that almost gives a slight hint of fresh mint leaf to it. It’s what I’d imagine a mojito to smell like if it was made with summer berries instead of lime. The soft amber creeps out like a warm hug delicately sweetened with the jasmine and lily. Although this is a sweet, fruity perfume, the tiniest amount of vetiver and patchouli leaf add a subtle depth and maturity to it. The berries don’t hang about for long but it leaves behind a sweet floral pomegranate, a broad comforting soft amber, that almost pulls the pomegranate towards a honey nectarine, with a fresh tingle of green. It isn’t a loud fruity floral, but it caught my attention and is really delightful to wear.

Supermoon in Summer

Inspired by the atmosphere of a summer supermoon, this fragrance truly transports me to summer evenings. When you don’t understand why you’re not tired at all. When the conversations are light and the laughter is loud. When energy vibrates between the people you surround yourself with.

Super Moon opens with sweet mandarin and a truly unique pomegranate note. It is sweet-bitter and zesty. Like the fruit, not like grenadine. Blackcurrant adds a tart, dark berry touch and could have also been blackberry to my nose. From the very beginning, musk is present. It provides freshness and strength. I can only sense vetiver and patchouli. They ensure that the fragrance never becomes too sweet, but rather remains elegantly fresh. White flowers complement the musk and flash out when the fruit slowly fades.
Nonetheless, Super Moon remains fruity-fresh throughout its duration. Only just before the end can I no longer detect any fruity notes. The fragrance is fresh, fruity, zesty, lightly sweet with a certain acidity. Zero synthetic. It gives energy and lifts the mood. Spring day and summer evening.

The longevity and sillage are solid for a freshie at around 6 hours. Layered with "Molecule 01 | Escentric Molecules," I can even stretch it to 8 hours+.

For me, Super Moon is a typically sweet-fruity summer fragrance with a certain twist. The pomegranate is so beautifully recognizable and the musk so fresh that this fragrance earns a spot on my wish list.
