Milky, creamy, jasmine

Innocent Fragility opens with a milky, creamy jasmine. There's also one more flower in the opening stage, but I'm not particularly skilled at discerning notes, so I can't tell for sure if it's orange blossoms or gardenia. Either ways, the combo of jasmine and that one other floral is a happy and rich one, a little airy too.

Is there coconut in this, too? Because there's also a hint of a tropical creaminess, like the white flesh attached the the round shell of a coconut, and reminds me of canned coconut milk! Also, I'm also not entirely sure why, but it seems like there's a bitter floral playing around in the background.

It ends with a soft slightly sweet musk laced with white florals. At no point does this become offensive or overly strong. I can't say it's fragile, but I suppose there are aspects of this that fit "Innocent".

It is, however, a pretty safe perfume to wear, unless you do not enjoy jasmine (which was quite dominant in the early stages). I feel like it had the potential to be something a tad more impressive, but it falls short for me. Still not a bad fragrance, though.

Projection wasn't anything to shout about, but still noticeable for the most part. Lasted around 5-6 hours on me.

Summer Breeze, Makes Me Feel Fine

Thanks to Drseid for the generous forwarding of the Chabaud samples! As a collection, I am very impressed with the high quality of the ingredients, purity and wearabiity of the line. With Chabaud, there are no sharp edges or non sequetor notes that make one think "WTF?!". Each composition is seamlessly blended and the notes dancing in a harmony that I rarely observe in modern mainstream fragrance lines. If "Fracas" decided to settle down (probably never going to happen, but with "If" by Apothia and they had a lovechild, it might smell like Innocente Fragilité. The sillage is light to moderate on me but this last at a low volume for 8 hours. what do I detect? A creamy pleasant coconut milk and gardenia blend that is soft and rounded; NOT screetchy and headachy. Under this white cottony blanket, lies a breezy whiff of orange blossom and a clean feminine leaning white musk note with out the slightest hint of sugariness "blowing through the jasmine in my mind". Wait isn't that a song. Yes! That is the exact song that comes to mind when I smell this as well. Honestly, my first reaction was, pleasant - clean, familiar skin scent. I could easily make this my everyday signature for Spring through Summer. I didn't feel butterflies in my stomach, mind you...but a feel of sheer peace and comfort with one's own essence did beseige me and has persisted with each repeat sampling. Oddly, while wearing this scent I feel quite sexy and alluring...in a carefree and Summertime beach girl sort of way. Perhaps it is due to that Ylang ylang note caressing the coconut and jasmine. I dare say, Innocente Fragilité is very subtle quiet charmer that probably gets what she wants, without a big showy display of dancing on the table before lst call. I find this scent delightfuly wearable, whimisical and FB worthy. It is my favorite of the Chabaud line so far.

Flowers for the ice maiden

As Edmunds carriage sped by the cold, creamy white snow, he shivered and snuggled closer to the icy queen. Cold sharp air, the flakes of snow on his face, all mingled with tiny tender whiffs of the sweet orange blossom flavoured treats on her lap. He snuggled in further from the cold and to be nearer the tantalising smell of the blossoms. Her transparent skin was heavily laced with the succulent sweetness of a lighter jasmine like auriculatum mingled with gardenia flowers. He snuggled closer to obtain more of this heavenly combination, his innocence yet prevailing, and met only with the gentle white muskiness of her cold ermine cloak and glassy skin. The faintest taint of the flowers blowing away in the cool air.

What a pretty and light perfume. Especially suitable for a first perfume as a present for a young girl but the slightly heavier jasmine making it possible for anyone to wear if you like gentle blossoms, florals and light musks. If you find Joy and all those heavy floral whoppers just way too much, then this is like a little whisper of them and worth a sniff. This perfumer has a light hand.

Safe White Florals...

Innocente Fragilite opens with with a slightly sweet mild orange blossom and jasmine white floral tandem before transitioning to its early heart. As the composition enters its heart the jasmine takes the fore with the orange blossom remaining in support adding hints of gardenia to the mix as clean white musk rising from the base adds a detergent-like breezy undertone. During the late dry-down the white florals near completely vacate the composition as the clean fresh synthetic white musk turns ever so slightly powdery through the finish. Projection is minimal and longevity well below average at about 4 hours on skin.

Innocente Fragilite is quite pleasant smelling and easy to wear. It takes the jasmine and orange blossom florals and uses the synthetic white musk to thin them out and freshen the overall effect, making the composition extremely versatile. As the presentation is so light and airy while keeping projection to a minimum, it seems well-suited to situations where one might not want to wear something so heavy -- possibly office wear when working in close quarters, for example. The only issues I have with the largely successful composition are its relative brevity and its liberal use of synthetic white musk in the base that comes off smelling a bit too similar to laundry detergent at times when coupled with the mild white florals. Still all-in-all Innocente Fragilite seems a good option for those who enjoy white florals but need to tone down the volume more than a bit. The bottom line is Innocente Fragilite provides a nice safe versatile white floral composition that despite its relatively poor longevity and synthetic nature still shines, earning a "good" to "very good" 3 to 3.5 stars out of 5 rating and a recommendation to white floral lovers who want to play it a bit safe while still smelling good.

Please give me a second chance

I wrote a bitterly nasty statement about the scent yesterday. Toilet cleaner, highway toilet, etc.. I'm sticking with that too: first impressions are really not pretty. At least for me. Rather even disgusting.
Now I have in the late night (so after a few hours) still noticed that the fragrance is fortunately much creamier and rounder. The pieksig-stechende is finally gone.
In the morning, right after getting up I have now put on the cardigan, which still has the fragrance on the sleeve. The complete right arm!

And immediately when I put it on, I noticed this beautiful, light-creamy scent. Angelically beautiful, innocent. Like an angel bathing in coconut water and milk!

And now we all come back downstairs: in the background someone is hanging up freshly washed clothes.... it's the bathing angel's grandma! ;) Yeah, that's what it smells like to me.

It's so nice on clothes now that I'm actually thinking about buying a bottle! ... But do you do that just because he is so wonderful after a few hours on textile?

Anyway. First he has to give me a second chance!
