Expressive Classic Chic

After wearing Allure Sensuelle Eau de Parfum, Allure Sensuelle Parfum, Allure Eau de Parfum, and Allure Parfum, I allow myself to make a somewhat more detailed comment.

All four have a class that deserves a tip of the hat. Fresh, fruity, balanced sweet, cuddly, green, balsamic, and so well-balanced, deep, and full; so elegant; that's Chanel.
Allure Sensuelle presents itself - according to my nose - as a good deal earthier/herbaceous than Allure, which I attribute to vetiver and patchouli. And the EdP is even more angular and intense than the parfum. So the parfum would be more my choice. It is softer and more endearing. But perhaps others prefer the EdP for that very reason. I also see it more suited for women of advanced age. But still, a masterpiece like this - it makes one rave.

The Successful Birthday After All

Ah, I don't want to complain. Today I turn 39. There have been enough loud and flashy birthdays. We've celebrated in, out, and through. One becomes more settled. Quieter. More adult. Uh, does one? Maybe some, but not me. I'm still a crazy noodle. And especially on my birthday. I want to hug the whole world, persuade three monks to cuddle, and dance on the table.
Instead, this year suddenly calls for bed rest. After an unavoidable foot surgery. So no partying, no monks, and no dancing. What does one do then? One quietly calls for the husband and asks for the black box.
The box with my soul comforts. These are scents that give me security and permanence. A certain protection. And you are one of them. You are something very special.
You are a Chanel, that much is clear. All Chanels have something similar in their essence; you can recognize them immediately.
You are a perfume, so you are quite close to the skin, but you have a lot of endurance. You last nearly forever. And you smell like a nice chat over a cup of tea in the garden. Yes, something like that. I perceive flowers, and bergamot, and the citrusy scent of a mandarin, but also the bitterness of the peel. Peel, like scarf. You can snuggle into you, like into a scarf.
So, now you are applied. And now I will simply sleep through my birthday. Why not? I'm wearing my prettiest pajamas, I just finished a piccolo with my beloved. And in your company, the night and day will be beautiful.
