Fresh Fruity Floral for All
I seem to do better with CHANEL Eau de Toilettes than Eau de Parfums, and Coco Mlle is no exception. There are so many similar creations flooding the market, even within CHANEL's own house with the Chance line, but all of those other fruity florals seem kind of baseless, like ghostly fruits that just fade into oblivion too quickly.

Coco Mlle is all substance. It's surprisingly woody and complex for a fresh and fruity perfume; never boring. Longevity with the Eau de Toilette is remarkable on my skin, no worse than the Eau de Parfum.

I can see this being great for casual use as well as an evening out. Maybe not for sequinned dresses or ball gowns though.

SUMMARY: Easy pleaser for women of all ages

Edp or edt? Please choose the edt!
Have to admit = I hate eau de parfum version. And ++ ITS NOT CROWD PLEASER. I dont know any single woman use this around of me. + why I hate? Because grapefruit + patchouli combo. That start was terrible and my nose cant stand. Luckily this edt is better to my nose. No weird starting like edp. Yes very citrusy at start, drydown = maleish scent. But I think PATCHOULİ dose isnt very much like edp. Male style drydown comes from = patchouli and vetiver! (I dont like dominant vetiver too, lol but here its ok) Also here citruses are not so sour, bad style. While its better version heard Its discontinued, WHY Chanel!? You MUST discontinued the edp one. I only saw in 1 shop edt and tester. Males can use too.

Fresh and Spring-like
I was originally looking for the EDP version but they didn't have a tester bottle, so I settled with the EDT.

I find many similarities between this fragrance and Allure by the same house. They both have a familiar soapy, fresh vanilla scent. I can't say that the lasting power was all that, but for an EDT it isn't bad.

The scent is a little common for my liking, however it is a perfect, inoffensive fragrance suitable for Spring or casual outings. Don't buy this if you're searching for something that is sensual, sexy or head-turning, Coco Mademoiselle EDT is much better suited as a bright, feminine and youthful fragrance.

Mademoiselle
Coco Mademoiselle EDT opens up quite a bit like the EDP version, though definitely smoother and not nearly as intense. What’s most noticeable, is how the orange note shares duties here with other citrus notes, and an additional litchi.

Another thing that I notice here, is that, the patchouli note isn’t as dominant in this version of the Mademoiselle line. It’s there, but I feel it to be more balanced with the vetiver sitting in the base of the scent.

What’s interesting is that the base of Mademoiselle EDT, is very similar to the Chanel men’s cologne, Allure Edition Blanche. The creamy vanilla, woods, and vetiver is a dead ringer. That fragrance is dominated by lemon, rather than litchi and a more general blend of citrus.

What’s true about both of those fragrances, is that they both have a weaker ability to project than the flanker fragrances that they spawn from (more so in Edition Blanche’s case).

Once the citrus notes have burned off and the litchi seems weaker, the floral notes really come through strong. Jasmine and rose are fairly even, but I get more jasmine, on my skin. Those two with wood, musk, vetiver, patchouli, and the vanilla note that develops further along.

The final dry down is a woody vetiver scent with a less creamy aroma, that sort of starts to have a bit of a powdery feel. Not too much, but noticeable.

An accustomed taste
I have heard, that coffee, blue cheese, red wine and olives are tastes you have to get accustomed to. To me, it is true. I did not love any of these things from the beginning. But I have grown to like them simply by keeping on trying. Coco Mademoiselle, to me, is the same story.
In 2001 I started noticing a new scent around me. A growing number of women would smell the same. I did not know the scent a the time, and I certainly did not like it. It was horrible for me to be exposed to it, wherever I went: the supermarket, the cinema, work, the airport. The scent was everywhere.
It took some time ‘adjusting’ my nose to this sharp, citric scent. Several years, actually. To my nose it smelled of too much. I guess it was the patchouli mixed with the citrus fruits. Everyone I knew at the time loved it and spoke highly of it - and wore it. Then one day a colleague gave me an almost empty bottle. She knew of my weird hobby and asked me if I had this in my collection. I said no, and told her I did not like it. She answered ‘oh, same with me to start with - but I have grown fond if it’.
Today I still have the almost empty bottle. I do not wear this scent often, but I have grown to like it, especially on hot summer days. It is perfect because it is fresh and stays that way. Now I can finally enjoy the scent. I am happy that my nose has matured.

Identical to the original to me, but lighter, fresher, fruitier. More wearable if one finds the EdP is too strong.

I used to wear this perfume all the time. It was my signature scent. It is a beautiful and happy scent that is very feminine with a twist.
