Loubiprince without the amber
I think the Fétiche line is an attempt to encourage layering, i.e. buying more than one at a time. Already salespeople usually are trained to suggest this even with lines that aren't necessarily meant for layering but to try to convince the customer to buy more than one.
But when this is the case by design, the fragrances tend to be a bit more simplified. In my opinion the "completed," or pre-layered version of Le Santal exists: Loubiprince, where the sandalwood is combined with a beautiful amber note. It seems like they just took the sandalwood accord from that and packaged it on its own. It's not bad but it feels like it's missing something. I think it does have a bit more fruitiness, though I perceive it as almost coconutty, which I also perceive in Loubiprince. Projection is weak though it lasts on skin.
