The fruit bowl at that pool party choked me out

Aquatic and ozonic, aka: a chlorine overloaded pool on a warming planet.

Second (and last) full bottle I ever bought, NOT having obsessively smelt this enough at the beauty store. I thought I was going to like wearing it for the summer, but just like my summers, it was an embarrassing let-down, chokey and warm, it reminded me of the days I spend locked away in my hot-ass room with no ac in a town that I blame for "holding me back."
If I went to any pool parties, or if I had ever gone out at all during the warmer months with this on, I'd predict the same fate would befall me as the fruit platter at an outdoor gathering. Uncomfortable and attracting flies.

Happy Heart on me, I'm microwaved fruit. Rotten to the core, and unhappy.

Subtle fun

Happy Heart is basic yet pretty.

This fragrance doesn't make me jump up and down for joy or do somersaults across the room, however I do feel much happier when wearing it.

Happy Heart is a light fruity floral which has a tendency to be clean and slightly soapy, but not overly so. It has some similarities to Happy, also by Clinique, however this fragrance isn't as citrusy.

The cucumber in the top notes adds a unique, cool watery freshness that I really enjoy. Cassia also adds a nice spicy subtlety which is reminiscent of most Clinique fragrances.

I found the note of carrot to also be surprisingly good and far from the predictable path that Clinique could have chosen. It was unfortunate that this fragrance just didn't agree with my skin chemistry. I would have considered it if it did.

Fragrance that Reminds Me of the 90s

Although Happy Heart was probably released in 2003, it smells to me like a typical 90s fragrance. It has the vibe of CK Escape or Polo Sport Women by RL, which has already been discontinued.

Upon spraying, an aquatic-floral note immediately greets you, which is initially a bit strong. What then emerges most after a few minutes is hyacinth, and this remains in conjunction with the sandalwood that comes into play in the base note.

Although this is not my favorite fragrance, strangely enough, it is the one I reach for the most in the morning. Somehow, it has the same effect on me as my beloved coffee in the morning:
it wakes me up :).
AND: it is one of those fragrances that has surprisingly always received positive comments from others until now.
The longevity is about 4 hours.

My Heart Dances . . . .

I picked up the Clinique "A little happiness" collection at Madrid's Duty Free shop and today I want to focus on "Happy heart."
At first, I catch a brief whiff of cucumber (unusual for me, but not bad, I must admit) - unfortunately, it doesn't last half an hour before it disappears, and what comes instead? Hyacinth! A lot of hyacinth accompanied by a slight! hint of vegetables. Up to this point, it’s definitely a very floral, powdery scent that strongly reminds me of soap, although it leans towards the type of soap you find in the mid-price range - not the worst, but also not a reason to cheer. After about an hour, a bit of wood emerges.
Happy Heart smells like the older sister of Happy. She has lost the lightness that makes her little sister so charming, and she knows it: Now she sits crying by the shore of the lake where the hyacinths float, biting into a sour cucumber. . . .
