Not peony-forward

Starts out with a strong, sweet rose oil note - then quickly moves to a watery peony, and dry-down becomes a dry, woody cedar with softened rose again in the background.

You have to love rose and woody notes to enjoy this, as that's the bulk of this fragrance - the peony is very fleeting.

I expected more a peony "symphony" of sorts, so I was disappointed. Perfect Peony Eau de Parfum is far more beautiful than this (and more peony-focused), in my opinion.

I like it

Peony Picnic isn’t a perfume I grab for often, but it’s very nice to wear in the mornings during spring. There’s no top notes. I smell fruity peony.
The bottle is cute and easy to travel with because of the size.
It’s perfect for a teen!
