A fun scent from the 2000’s

I’ve had a bottle of this since its release almost 20 years ago. Every few years, I’ll pull it out and use it, usually in spring or summer. It’s definitely sweet but not cloying. I don’t see this specifically called out in the notes, but I detect some pear in there. The lily and other white florals are also present. It has pretty decent longevity. If I spray it on skin and clothes, I’ll still smell it at the end of the day. This is not a controversial fragrance. I feel comfortable wearing a couple sprays to the office. Once it’s gone, I won’t feel a big gap in my perfume collection. That being said, I have enjoyed it.

Don't worry - be happy

My friend isn't laughing much at the moment - so I feel the urge to do something nice for her.

Small gifts keep friendship alive - but what can cheer her up?
A discount voucher from Karstadt flutters into my thoughts.
Only today and only valid for perfume items.
So - question answered.

I rush to the fragrance department - but alas, Karstadt is not allowed to set up testers.
I am an intuitive Pisces and wander around the shelves with my antennas extended.
A single bottle catches my eye - and I read Happy in Bloom.
Well - what a coincidence!
I made a blind purchase and sprayed it at home out of curiosity.

Wow! What a spectacular start!

Fruits roll towards me, still with foliage where the soft plum dominates.
The freesia makes its presence known, accompanied by fresh lily of the valley and delicately tart mimosa.
Amber appears subtly sweet, and the wood note adds a casual elegance.

A cheerful, lively scent that is not shy - yet doesn't impose itself.
It has momentum and energy - but still feels mature and serious.

Happy in Bloom is a likable go-to - for one should always open the door and the gate to joy when it arrives.

Happy in Bloom simply makes you happy

I swapped this fragrance blindly and what can I say, I am HAPPY! It is the ultimate spring scent and yes, it really does make you happy. It starts fruity (thankfully without berries), citrusy, and even though it's not listed, just slightly aquatic. This top note actually lasts throughout most of the fragrance's development. The yellow plums are also wonderfully detectable. Then, as is typical in spring, the flowers start to emerge from the ground. However, they are totally sweet and not overwhelming (as can often be the case with lily of the valley).
It truly smells unique (good) and for a spring fragrance in this price range, it lasts really long.

This is not a scent for the office or for the evening... this fragrance would rather suit a cozy day strolling through the city, a trip to the ice cream parlor, or a day in the park with family.
It is a romantic scent, playful, sweet, nice, puts you in a positive mood and lifts your spirits, simply makes you happy. And don't worry, it is by no means too girly. More for the age of 25 and up.

Spring Awakening

Happy In Bloom smells like a meadow full of flowers. I had the predecessor already. It smelled just the same, only the flowers on the bottle were different. A lovely scent for spring. Very intense and long-lasting. But please don't use it after nights of partying. I always get a headache from that, anyway.

Batch 2018: Strong lily of the valley + peppery-freesia dominated floral mix + slightly green-fruity + lots of pure Ambrox-synthetic = not a gentle scent at all.
