A fresh bouquet of flowers
It was about 2 weeks ago and I had the urge to visit the big city and of course seek out the largest perfumery in Zuerich.

Now it was time to examine Creed.

I was advised and assisted and, at the end, found myself with 4 different Creeds on my arm, "Fleurissimo", "Love in White", "Fleurs de Bulgarie" and "Spring Flower".

All were good scents in their own way. Above all, the compositions were pure and clear. No synthetic disturbances. That really convinced me.

Which one to choose? Let's wait and take a walk, maybe the decision will be easier in a half hour ... Far from it! I was still undecided and if I, of those 4, acquired all 3 that I liked, my wallet would have a screaming fit, and probably my husband, too.

Thus, I erred about and suddenly had the solution.

Not far from me was a young man with a briefcase. He looked good and nicely groomed. Okay, to the task! "Hello, excuse me, please, I am kind of forward and am asking for your help." He gave me an astonished look. So I continued, "I have here on my arm 4 scents, all beautiful, and just cannot make up my mind. Would you mind sniffing at my arm and tell me which one you like best on me?"

He smiled with amusement and said, "Why not? This is the first time anyone has asked me this, but I feel honored and I don't mind." So we stood there, in the middle of the street, and he sniffed at my arm. It was a rather comical situation.

He chose "Spring Flower" to which I had been inclined myself.

I thought, twice is best, and then did the whole game once more.

Interestingly, the second man loved the same perfume and even wanted to know the name. This would make a wonderful gift for his girlfriend.

Sometimes, boldness has its rewards.

With an easy step I went back to the perfumery and bought myself the expensive "bouquet".

When the weather is warm as it is today, I love the scent of fresh flowers. This perfume lasts for hours. It softens somewhat on my skin and will get creamier, but the lovely aroma of fresh flowers is lasting to the end.

My ideal companion in the hot days of Summer.

Poopy opening, floral later
Poop in earth surrounded by freshly stomped on flowers. That's what the opening of Spring Flower smelled like. Maybe Creed intended the opening to resemble the Lantana camara flowers, if any of you are familiar with it, it is also known as 'bunga tahi ayam' or 'chicken poop flower' in Bahasa Melayu.

That poopy smell never really goes away for me, unfortunately. I do get more of a fresh floral-fruity projection after about 30 minutes, which is nice, but when I put my nose next to my skin, I get poop poop poop.

Apart from that poop-on-skin smell, the rest of the perfume was alright. It was a decent fruity-floral that didn't scream sweet but was not too tart/syrupy or even bitter. Nothing to write home about, but a pretty spring-like one to try if you like fruity-florals.

I do wish I did not have that earthy poop smell. It really messed up the experience for me, and I'm not sure if it is just my sample, or my skin, but it is what it is and because of that, this is not a positive review, but I do hope it works as well for you as it did for so many other people!

Longevity: around 5 hours
Sillage: soft for the most part.

Papa Creed don't preach
Papa Creed don't preach

"Celebrate the exuberance of a new romance with Spring Flower, a fresh and floral fragrance full of pure femininity from the house of Creed. Creed created this scent for a screen legend, fashion icon, and renowned philanthropist. The fragrance was only presented to the public years later. Delightfully pink and pretty, Creed's Spring Flower is a playful and uncompromising expression of feminine energy and the style of the woman who inspired this scent. Fruity, floral, sweet, youthful, and sexy. This fragrance brilliantly highlights a woman's radiant beauty and self-confidence. Madonna, the Queen of Pop, wears this scent with preference. Spring Flower reflects the facets of spring: a carefree time when anything is possible and each day can bring something unexpectedly new. Madonna's versatile personality mirrors this spring character. Time and again, she surprises us with her music, her outfits, her social engagement, or as a mother writing children's books."

Phew, I feel relieved again. When I started reading this promotional text, I initially missed the obligatory crowned heads. Then the highly esteemed singer "Madonna" came into play and - regardless of her stage name - I actually let a "Madonna" slip from my lips. However, more in a religious than a musical context. But then they finally talked about the "Queen of Pop" and my royal desire was once again satisfied. I must say something here: Recently, I have started testing women's fragrances as well. Not only is my wife surprised that the level of some of her expensive perfumes has noticeably decreased since then, but she also casually remarked the other day that I often smell of women's perfumes lately. A glance at my list of comments on women's fragrances could reassure her. For now. Therefore, a call to the female members here: Could you send me samples of lipsticks? I somehow still need to explain the stains on my shirt collars to her...

But back to our fragrance. And thus to Creed's version of a spring flower from 1996: And how does our "Spring Flower" begin? "Who's That Girl?" Not floral at all. Sort of "Miles Away" from flowers. On our "La Isla Bonita," there are initially no flowers, but rather little fruits. The promised flowers remain for now a "Beautiful Stranger." But what fruits do we experience here? Actually, a whole fruit salad: A ripe bergamot lounges around just like a fine little apple. Not a sour "Granny Smith," but rather a ripe "Braeburn." Little refreshing acidity. Well, we are, after all - thematically speaking - in the season of spring. A cooling refreshment is not so much needed yet. Alongside, there’s a bit of peach. Admittedly, a fresh specimen, not a canned peach that might end its joyless life in a dark can on a poorly baked ready-made crust from Aunt Hannelore. No, these are indeed natural fruits that we encounter here. One must give Creed that. But somehow, it has nothing to do with "Flower" or "Spring." Unless this fruit has "jumped" into the bottle, which seems rather unlikely to me. So more of a "Secret." And the top note? Are we coming "Deeper and Deeper?" Finally, flowers! "Celebration"!!! Like a "Lucky Star," there is finally a rose. Or, better said: A little rose! Airy and light. No thorny or even proud specimen. Admittedly, fine and delicate. A pink rose in a colorful spring garden. Pretty to look at (and above all: pretty to smell). But also nothing spectacular. No "Bad Girl" with whom one could have a "Bedtime Story." One would rather want to shout to her: "Express Yourself!" Or even: "Open your Heart!" And certainly not: "Crazy for You!" But at least: We are getting closer to the self-imposed theme. However, to our disappointment, it is more of a "forgotten birthday" example from the aforementioned Aunt Hannelore. And indeed the example when the birthday has been at least two weeks ago. But: "Nothing really matters." In this sense: So, come on, dear "Material Girl," off to dear Aunt and on the way quickly got this pink little rose. For free, we also got a scent tree from the brand "Lucky Star" with the inscription "Jasmine" at the gas station (on the way to Aunt), where we quickly acquired the rose. Well, one is an ADAC member after all. Even if that doesn't mean much anymore today. So we quickly take our hastily acquired gift, tuck it under our arm, and "diesel" a bit more at the gas station (I hope everyone has recognized this pun now). And there lies another thing with a bit of musk and the inscription "Dress You Up." That works. It's only Auntie and not a charming beloved, from whom one might expect a second date (or perhaps even more "Erotica" on the first date, to then tenderly whisper "Justify my Love" in her ear at parting, to which she in turn thinks "Don't tell me"). So we arrive at Aunt Hannelore's and congratulate her. And how does she react? She exclaims: "Madonna!" And thus the circle closes. And not only this one, but also our fragrance.

My conclusion:
So, I think Madonna's music is really great. However, her (alleged) fragrance not so much. I am certainly not "Crazy for You"! Nothing "Something to Remember."
"Sorry," Creed!

Oh my God, I did it!!!
I actually bought my first Creed fragrance in a fit of mental derangement! I basically packed myself a pink, fragrant little gift for Easter. One that conjures up spring and comforts me when the weather doesn’t quite bring on those spring feelings.
My usual lunchtime activity led me straight to the Creed shelf this time. Until now, I had always kept a bit of distance and thought to myself: “There are so many beautiful fragrances, for this price you could own two or, with a bit of luck, even three other seductive favorites…”. But after my frustrating first date in the world of English fragrances (Fleurs by Floris), I wanted to know more: Can these fragrances really stay on their isolated island? Or should we at least maintain the union olfactorily?
My favorite perfumery offers a wonderful service: on each individual bottle (and the perfumery is large!) there is a lovingly handwritten label with the fragrance pyramid on one side and a mini-info on the other. In the case of Creed “Spring Flower,” it said “Favorite fragrance of Madonna and Julia Roberts.” Celebrity endorsements are always a bit disturbing for me - who knows how I would measure up to Julia Roberts! - but the fragrance ingredients were spot on. A bit too fruity for my taste, but nothing ventured, nothing gained: Right next to it was a white bottle: “Love in White.” And I liked the fragrance pyramid of that one much better! So, without further ado, I put “Love in White” on one hand and “Spring Flower” on the other - and headed back to work. On the way back, I made the hand gesture by which we members of parfumo reliably recognize each other despite our nicknames. Alternating lifting of the back of the left or right hand to the nose and optionally wrinkling the nose, frowning, or a dreamy smile spreading across the face. Sometimes it’s also the waving of several paper strips in front of the nose that gives us away - or studying the shelf in a perfumery while simultaneously having the app open to make the difficult decision based on comments: Can this fragrance really take a place on my skin, after all, space is precious! I have already lamented elsewhere about the problem that we humans only have two hands, if I remember correctly.
Where was I? Oh yes, alternating sniffing on one hand and then the other. And already on the way back to the office, something strange happened. “Love in White,” which I found wonderful at first sniff, started to develop oddly - sharp, unpleasant, artificial - and “Spring Flower,” which I had initially categorized as an artificial, peculiar fruit cocktail, definitely NOT for me, transformed from an ugly duckling into a beautiful swan. The positive aspect of such situations is that you also get to do your daily facial exercises: wide-eyed astonishment, broad smiles, OOOHHH mouth opening, decisive nodding, or equally decisive head shaking. And all of this in the fresh air, where it is particularly effective.
In short: within 20 minutes, “Spring Flower” transforms on my skin into a wonderfully floral-fresh fragrance. I cannot agree with the comments that see “Spring Flower” as a dime-a-dozen scent. The fruity component, which you can still smell all the time (for me especially melon and bergamot), makes the fragrance unmistakable and gives the well-known jasmine-rose-musk blend a special twist.
Well, what can I say: After an afternoon where I also regularly trained my chest muscles through deep inhaling and exhaling, I hurried (and again, you see what a healthy hobby fragrances are!) to the perfumery to pick up my new favorite just before closing time. It absolutely should not have to spend a whole night lonely on the shelf!

Addition two days after purchase: after I massively over-applied in my enthusiasm on the first day and was already wondering what I found so great about the fragrance, I now know: apply sparingly, then it is very, very fine!

Oh God, oh God... what have I done?
It started like this:
For weeks, I've been wandering around the Creed counter in the middle Franconian branch of a Stuttgart department store, repeatedly sniffing the same fragrance: "Love in White Summer". If anyone thinks: girl, wrong fragrance, they are mistaken.
Please forgive me for needing to elaborate a bit.

Well then. Again and again this white love scent and the almost annoying question to the knowledgeable fragrance consultant: "Do you have a tester for me at any point?"
Unfortunately, the answer was always a disappointing "No, we don't get testers."

And as if it were almost a ritual, during my next city visit, I headed to the counter again. I sprayed the white love scent once more and asked the question again... and, you can hardly believe it: SAMPLES!! I was told that they had apparently been sent to Franconia instead of Swabia, and I could hardly believe my luck.
And: I also got - tadaaa - Spring Flower along with it.

I must say: I am not a fan of mega floral scents, and I had never tried that one either. But this morning, feeling experimental as I am, I just sprayed it on boldly.
What can I say... I am smitten. I almost regret having only sprayed a little... now and then a light waft comes through, of pleasantly soft citrus, summery freshness, before my inner eye the sparkle of the sea when looking out from a beautiful Italian finca. Like a lovely, light summer wine on the skin... my heart races when I smell it, and I believe this will be the one.

My long-awaited replacement for Acqua di Gioia. Finally, I have found you, you beautiful spring flower.

Oh, by the way... the white love has passed, and I don't even have a heartache!

A very feminin fruity-flowery scent in a nice pink bottle, but nothing so special to justify the very high price

Creed goes trash: pink apple essence, pink melon essence, pink whatever essence, nasty jasmine, and a full pack of musk: brain pain.

It starts on my skin with a urine note that smells like I've peed myself. The subsequent floral scent doesn't interest me anymore.

Floral-fruity-light-synthetic. Unfortunately, it doesn't smell elegant on me at all. You can find something similar at the drugstore for 6.95.
