Flirtatious Pink Gourmand
The name, Pink Macaroon, is enough to make any gourmand lover salivate. Although I have to agree that it bears some similarities to Nina Ricci's Le Paradis de Nina, (a fragrance already in my collection), I am pleased to see DKNY taking a chance with a gourmand.

Pink Macaroon is not nearly as fruity as other DKNY scents. It's actually quite sugary and soft. I'm not a macaroon expert, but I do love that feeling when I bite into a particularly sweet and tasty one. This fragrance has a similar light, colourful and fluffy feel.

The opening was bright and juicy, with ripe nectarine and a hint of pink rose. The marzipan amps up the gourmand quality in the heart, with the tonka bean and amber providing a rich, vanillary base. Every note seems to compliment one another beautifully. Pink Macaroon is a surprisingly well composed fragrance.

I appreciate almost all gourmands on the lighter side of things. Pink Macaroon's sillage is incredibly light and airy, which I consider a beautiful thing. It doesn't get much more girly than this.

I am yet to test Tart Key Lime, but I did enjoy Creamy Meringue just as much as I did Pink Macaroon. It's a shame that these fragrances are a limited edition set. I find their bottles to be very appealing as well.

As I mentioned above, the projection was very light on the skin, however I found the longevity quite impressive, lasting well over six hours. I am really pleased with DKNY's Pink Macaroon. I would recommend it to any gourmand fan, especially those that like them pink, flirtatious and delicious.

A Dream
She opened her eyes and stretched extensively. So this is how it felt to be a young wife. Her freshly married husband was still sleeping, cuddled into his pillows like a baby. She had to smile.
In her mind, she replayed the wedding ceremony from yesterday. She had been a wonderfully beautiful bride, she could claim that without shame. The celebration seemed to have been a success, the menu had been perfect.
Only cousin Ingrid seemed a bit grumpy. Well, she really couldn't cater to everyone's moods.

She swung out of bed and slipped into her pink bathrobe. The color suited her particularly well.
She would bring her husband breakfast in bed. Although - this custom won't be broken - today I will make an exception!

She wasn't really that hungry after yesterday's menu.
Maybe some fruit? Quietly, on bare feet, she walked down to the kitchen.

So many flowers she had received - a whole armful. However, she hadn't "thrown" the wedding bouquet, as was customary. She wanted to dry the bouquet and keep it in the display case under a glass dome. That's how her grandmother had done it - and - that marriage had lasted.

She took a plate and placed a few nectarines on it, as well as some of the dwarf oranges. How fragrant the fruits were! From the neighbor across the street, they had received this wonderfully beautiful fruit bowl as a wedding gift, filled with all sorts of exotic fruits. This large red fruit - a pomegranate - she had
never eaten before. Well, today is a good day to try something new.

There was still a large piece left of the wedding cake. She cut off two small pieces, placed two of the little marzipan roses on a plate along with two napkins.

From the pink bouquet that Aunt Grete had given her, she plucked out two roses, placing one on the tray and sticking the other in her hair.

So "armed," she made her way upstairs. She set the tray down and slipped back under the covers.
"Darling - wake up!" He opened his eyes, needing a moment to orient himself. Her husband stood next to the bed with the breakfast tray.
"Don't fall back asleep, my love! We have a big day ahead of us today."
She rubbed her eyes. Everything came back to her. Today, her eldest daughter was getting married!
"I dreamed....." He took her in his arms. "Everything will be just fine. Now let's have breakfast, because there’s still a lot to do before the ceremony starts."

Fruity Summer Tart
After Creamy Meringue, for which I specifically purchased a sample, left me rather disappointed, I swore I would never let another DKNY apple near me again... but my middle name is and will always be Inconsistency. ("Allow me - My name is Chanelle Inconsistency Bond...")
At Basel Airport, the delicious baby pink apple caught my eye and wouldn’t let me leave the duty-free area. Desperately, I tried to make it to the gate, but curiosity was stronger... could the baby apple still be something for Mama's daughter? The color is definitely my type... Faster than you can say Schoggiweggli, my resistance faded. The first ffft was already nice: Kumquats! deliciously fruity-fresh-sweet. I couldn’t specifically smell the mandarin, but rather the dark, heavy fruitiness of pomegranate. The heart note was Ochsenauge, that’s what I believe these cookies are called at the bakery, only fortunately fruitier and more bearable. Unfortunately, it doesn’t stay so nice... in the end, only brown molasses remains, sticky-sweet, slightly piercing... Thank god, not another squeaky pink bottle in my bathroom...

Sugar Pink Cotton Candy
Yes, that's what the little thing looks like! Or like one of those pink macarons (or Luxemburgerli).
And what do you get here? First, a few thoughts on the topic of "pink perfumes" - my actual fragrance comment is further down (for the hurried readers).

In my personal fragrance world, pink is not just pink! I roughly distinguish between "flower pink" and "candy cane pink" - of course, there are mixed forms as well. The flower pink perfumes primarily smell of flowers; they can be sweet, but they don't burst with sweetness. Typical examples for me are "Miracle," "Forever and ever Dior," "Reve infinie," "L'Eau pour Femme" (Dupont), and "Snowing Rose." The candy cane pink perfumes, on the other hand, are characterized by a distinct sweetness and usually lean more towards gourmand or fruity rather than floral. I see "Pink Sugar," "Bonbon," "LVEB," "Be enchanted," and "Les Delices de Nina" as typical representatives. This classification is completely value-neutral - both directions have their fans. I generally like both (ultimately, only the test determines the evaluation of each individual perfume), but they are used by me on different occasions: the flower pink perfumes are great for the office or outings, while the sweet ones are more for me alone at home when I'm in the mood for an olfactory treat. Just like today, for example, on this rainy June afternoon at home at the PC.

SDPM actually belongs more to the second of the directions described above, so "candy cane pink," but it lies at the less sweet end of the scale. The perfume is rather fruity; the sweetness is present but not overpowering. The kumquat in the opening certainly contributes to that. This note may not be everyone's favorite, but I appreciate it very much. Pomegranates (or their juice) have a rather slightly tart scent, but I haven't really smelled it authentically in any perfume yet, and not here either. I can't recognize marzipan as a single note, but it surely adds to the sweetness, just like the tonka bean. SDPM is a fruity gourmand scent with moderate sweetness. A nice casual feel-good fragrance - instead of a real macaron with a fruity note.

I love this apple parade from Donna. It doesn't matter that they are not very high quality. It doesn't matter that every year three new directions hit the shelves.

I think they are great.

Pinky here really smells fruity, fresh, and creamy sweet. And not as bad as one might fear. There is a certain delicate spritziness at the beginning, quite restrained, which quickly shifts into the sweet-creamy direction and almost melts on the ... skin (almost wanted to say tongue).

The longevity is okay, mediocre, meaning about 3-4 hours. And the pink thing doesn’t flake off, so it doesn’t stray too far from the wearer.

Fun, fun, fun!!

It smelled so incredibly good. Instead of buying it for myself, I gifted it to others on occasions. Now I regret it.
