A Fragrance with Surprising Depth
I didn't think I would write a more detailed review about this fragrance, as I didn't buy it because it blew me away. Rather, I bought it because it was nice, a bit different from the rest of my small collection, and at least not boring.
Almost two weeks ago, I spontaneously grabbed it and used it, and since then I perceive it quite differently. It has turned out that the fragrance, which I initially regarded as a nice lily of the valley-vanilla scent, has a very beautiful development leading to a fruity gourmand.
At the beginning, the fragrance reminds me of "Be Delicious (Eau de Parfum) | DKNY / Donna Karan," with a similar apple fruity note and a hint of cucumber wafting into my nose. I'm not surprised, as the fragrance line is based on apples, and the packaging even suggests layering "Be Delicious (Eau de Parfum) | DKNY / Donna Karan" with "Be Extra Delicious | DKNY / Donna Karan" (which I haven't tried yet). Immediately after the fruity-fresh-sweet opening, I perceive the floral notes, which are surrounded by the fresh fruity breeze. Overall, the fragrance up to that point is fresh-soft and also somewhat reminiscent of fresh laundry. After a few hours, the base notes come into play beautifully, and I've noticed that the base smells similar to "Forbidden Berries | Essential Garden." This is a plus, as the wonderful Cheapy is no longer available, and I've missed it. I would describe the base as synthetic, as you don't feel like the chocolates or fruits are right next to you, but the slightly clever fragrance cocktail at the end is still quite pleasant in the nose, and I particularly enjoy smelling my clothes after a few hours.
I am very surprised by this actual fragrance development, as I hadn't perceived it this way before, but the fragrance has managed to go from a nice floral impulse buy to a favorite.
The longevity on my clothes is good, the sillage is okay and not overpowering (but also not just close to the body). I actually perceived the fragrance as a summer scent, but it has shown that the individual beautiful fragrance notes, especially the base, come out much better on cooler days and I personally like them much more.
