Skyfall and cloudburst
Skyfall and cloudburst are two possible translations for "Skyfall". Most people will be reminded of a James Bond film, some may think of Adele with her song "Skyfall" - this fragrance reminds me neither of the Oscar-winning film nor of Adele's chart-topper.
For me, Art Deco - Skyfall evokes a completely different idea of a skyfall: A never-ending parachute jump that carries me in its course over the most unusual productions and growing regions.
Admittedly, the 33 fragrance notes listed can be confusing - they raise questions: "What exactly am I smelling? What is the focus of this fragrance?". Presumably, this is also the intention of such detailed information - together with a high level of transparency for the wearer.
What the Art Deco - Skyfall can definitely be categorized as is gourmand - that's what the fragrance is throughout its entire course: a tart rum note greets you at the beginning, quickly says goodbye and is replaced by a delicious, strong blood orange chocolate that lasts a long time and characterizes this fragrance experience for me.
The heart of this fragrance reveals its enormous depth: in addition to the aforementioned bitter orange chocolate, two other striking directions coexist - on the one hand, the saffron-tobacco combination (fresh, non-smoky tobacco), as known from Side Effect or Red Tobacco and, on the other, a sweet-floral, slightly powdery direction thanks to orris root and osmanthus.
Later on, the longest-lasting notes reveal themselves in a base that blends together and is difficult for me to differentiate. Here I perceive sweet woods, tonka bean and vanilla. It is a warm and sweet fragrance that you enjoy towards the end.
