A bit less sweet an more aquatic Desire RED
This one is more aquatic and fresh version of the OG. But to me is not better, it got slightly sour note at begining and heart, not citrusy, that anoying me a bit. As well is good scent for spring/summer, the drydown is pleasant. In my country you can buy 30ml tester for 2.5-3.5 EUR, very affordable, but for the same price i go for the OG(RED). Also is 25-30% lower performance than the RED one, but you get 4-6 hours good performance, depending of skin chemistry and weather/humidity.

Good Aquatic...
While I find myself wearing this a lot less than I used to as my tastes have changed over the years, I still really like Desire Blue quite a bit. It is just about the only aquatic scent I can tolerate. It is sweet, but never cloyingly so and strong enough, but inoffensive allowing for all-around use. I get tremendous longevity with this one and strongly prefer it for its versatility over the original Desire (that can be quite overpowering and way too sweet, IMO). Great overall value here at the low price this one can be had at. As for the scent, I rate it a very good 3.5 stars out of 5.

Fruity-Sweet Companion
Finally, I was able to test this fragrance, even though it had to wait until a trip to England to encounter it at Birmingham Airport - and I am positively surprised. Somehow it has something, even though it is quite simply constructed. But perhaps it is precisely its balance that it brings.

Desire Blue is fruity and slightly sweet, with its scent development remaining relatively unchanged. Why not, if it’s good? So I would like to champion this fragrance now, after it obviously failed at Taurus1967 back then (I hope I don't end up like him in the long run, first great then not so much ;-)

The EDT smells best at half an arm's length with a pleasant sillage that feels discreet yet clearly perceptible - as a lovely fresh scent. It does bring a slight synthetic-scratchy sweetness, which probably contributes to its long-lasting quality, but it doesn't really bother me. I still like it. Perhaps the lychee brings warmth to its fruitiness, which just happens to be my favorite fruit. The mandarin also comes in strong, easily noticeable but by no means sour. However, the bergamot only has a spot character, lasting for the first 10-15 minutes, after which the pleasant fruit dominance takes over, and after a few hours, the sweet woods become more noticeable, forming a very balanced base.

The longevity is quite good at about 7 hours (sprayed on the shirt) and the sillage is excellent. Overall, a warm, slightly sweet fruity scent that is quite pleasing yet not arbitrary. While Desire Blue has no edges or corners to stand out, you can't really go wrong with it either.

Conclusion: A solid all-rounder for fruity-sweet fans and good value for money with blind buy suitability.

Sad Desire
It was in the summer of 2003 when the cheeky blue bottle caught my eye and I couldn't resist. The scent is subtly fruity and aquatic, but with a rather pulsating warm character instead of a refreshingly cool one. I was delighted. I had never encountered anything like it before - so I casually took it with me.

It wasn't until many hot summer days later that I realized that this very mix of fruity and woody notes along with the marine accords could really get on my nerves. At least there is something in it that causes me strong discomfort after a while.

I had actually long since pushed Desire blue out of my mind, but when I recently received a sample of S. Oliver's "Original Men," everything came rushing back to me almost literally. For that one is anything but original; rather, it is an exact copy of Desire blue. So, anyone who actually likes this scent and is looking for an affordable alternative can now find it in drugstores.
The fragrance pyramids have hardly anything in common, which once again calls into question the truthfulness of ingredient claims.
Sad, but true.

Smells good, go look for Dave East's "East" & it will be the better, longer lasting version of this fragrance. This 1 lasts about 3-4hrs

Very nice. Loved Desire and Desire Blue is somewhat lighter and fresher, but not unlike the original. If you like Desire you will also like

A light lychee juice. Fresh, aquatic, fruity & a bit sweet.
Performance is bad. After opening phase, last abt 3 hrs as a skin scent.

I'll keep it short: It smells 85% like 4711 Echt Kölnisch Wasser to me! As a local from Cologne, that's an absolute no-go! What a shame!

Citrusy-ozonic top note, then becoming creamy. Heart between green and blue fragrance notes, sunscreen-like base. Light, fresh.
