A Familiar Comfort
Dunhill's Moroccan Amber opens with a refreshing burst of ginger, quickly followed by a sweet floral heart. While spice notes like pepper, coriander, and cardamom are present, they lend more warmth than actual spice. The base features a musky, animalic leather accord, though the promised wood notes are barely perceptible. While the scent feels familiar and not particularly groundbreaking, it's undeniably pleasant and likely to have broad appeal. It's a solid, enjoyable fragrance, even if it doesn't offer a truly unique olfactory experience.

Gentlemen's Scent
I am a fan of Alfred Dunhill Fragrance , especially Dunhill Icon edp . later i discovered that , the nose behind Dunhill Icon edp is master Perfumer Mr. Carlos Benaim who also created many hit fragrances and also works for Federic Malle.

Anyway , i had a big expectation from signature collection when first they released 4 fragrances . Then i purchased the official sample set of all 4 . I did not like British leather and Arabian Desert was just Ok for me. I liked the Indian Sandal Wood but Moroccan Amber was a love for me . I love Amber based fragrance and Grand Soir by MFK is one of my all time favorite fragrance.

I kept it in my wish-list and after few days i found it at Discounters at $105 retail pack . But , i did not buy cause the price was high compare to its performance . I could easily pay $105 , if it was potent but the performance of this fragrance is just above average . It stays on cloth for 7-8 hours. After 7-8 months i got a deal on tester bottle at $ 60 and purchased it . The scent is all about sweet , spicy , little fruity ( dates , nuts ) , resinous Amber . And the dry down is more dry woody Amber and little soapy vibe in the background . I really enjoy this . This could be a good office fragrance for Fall & Winter . It could be a g8 date fragrance as well. it reminds me Oud malaki by Chopard but this is more interesting and more depth in it . The Bottle Design is just beautiful . If you like sweet amber type fragrance but not boring , you may give it a try . A very good fragrance .

Scent - 8.50/10
Performance - 7.5 /10
Compliment factor - 7.5 / 10
Versatility Factor- 6.5/10 ( For cold , rainy , breezy weather)
Pricing - 7.5/10
Overall Rating - A solid 7.75 / 10

Classy
I’ve bought myself a couple of Dunhills in the Signature collection. Indian Sandalwood was the one that started my interest but Moroccan Amber is my favorite eventually. It’s classy, spicy, warm and a bit sweet. Not clogging sweet but enough to take the bite out of the spices. Definitely recommend for a dressed up party, I can also imagine wearing it on hot summer evenings.

Pleasant, subdued scent for those discretionary moments
I've got samples of the Signature Collection and Moroccan Amber is the first I tried. It opens spicy and then quickly dries down to smooth leathery amber with a touch of a woody accord. Also comes across dusty, like a hot, dry day. Scent is stable and doesn't change after the quick dry down. Moroccan Amber is also a muted scent in that it sits pretty close to the skin after dry down without much projection or sillage. Overall, a very pleasant scent that's subdued. Would work pretty much anytime in the year, although confined to the evening on hot summer days. If you wear this to work, you'll have to reapply at lunch time.

Longevity is average. I got about 5 hours out of it after spraying about 10 times. Although I prefer strong fragrances, there are times, even for me, when discretion is warranted and Moroccan Amber would be useful in such situations. All that said, I'll wait on deciding to get a bottle after I've finished testing the collection to see if another stands out more.

Light Fresh Scent on a Woody Base
I find the bottles from Dunhill very beautiful. I don't have these in front of me, but I know the bottles from the Icon Collection. They always remind me of my father's travel toiletry bag. Inside were cylindrical silver containers for shaving foam and razor. This nostalgic touch is also present in these bottles, and I find the scents very fitting to this association.

I would like to thank Schücha for sharing three fragrances from this series that I was able to test. Unfortunately, the British Leather from this series was not available for the time being.
One thing upfront: I find all three fragrances with their oriental-woody note very successful. I am still too inexperienced to recognize specific scent notes. I will try to describe the fragrance within my capabilities.

Now, however, to the Moroccan Amber.
Right from the start when spraying, I am greeted by an overwhelming scent of leather, tobacco, and smoke. After a short time, this powerful impression recedes more and more into the background, and a lightly spicy freshness emerges. The cardamom is noticeable. I also perceive - very lightly - bergamot. This makes the scent noticeably lighter. However, it is still not a light fragrance. The whole thing is enveloped in a warm, soft woody wrapping of amber and leather.
The scent does not change after about half an hour. It only becomes weaker. The sillage is initially pronounced. After a maximum of two hours, it is only close to the skin. On the skin, it lasts a few hours.

I really like the scent. A few fresher, spicier notes float on the woody base. A fragrance for winter, good for cuddling.

Sweet spicy, a bit incense. And I get this really awesome tea / tobacco vibe.

Warm, spicy and leathery scent. Smells mature and very manly. Unfortunately some sharp chemical note puts me off.

A British dandy with a leather suitcase gets lost in the chaos of an Arab souk.
A gentle oriental that leaves a convincing scent trail.

The sweetness of saffron & the spiciness of amber are cleverly "refreshed" by cardamom & light woods. Never too much.

Positively surprised. From initially ordinary amber, green cardamom peaks shine through, adding depth and breadth with saffron.

A beautiful sweet-spicy scent that really leans towards Fan di Fendi! The bottle is, as always, a feast for the eyes - all in all, a success!

Either my nose is broken or I can hardly smell anything here. Longevity is very poor. Maybe it's just me.

I can't explain it by the notes, but to me it smells extremely like (my memory of) Fahrenheit Absolute!!!
