I treated myself to L'Amour Fou today....
and that even "blind" - my expectations were rather low, as I got it very cheaply and the comments here neither swayed me extremely pro nor very contra. And, what can I say? It surprised me quite positively! It fits wonderfully into this time we are having now, which is probably called autumn. I should mention that I am a summer child, who can never have it too hot, dry, and especially sunny; autumn makes me melancholic and the damp, cold weather outside is definitely not my world. I am now literally thirsting for things that lift my mood, distract me, and bring me pleasant thoughts. I pull out all my colorful, warmer clothes to cover up the dreary gray outside....the fragrance invites cuddling with warm thoughts. It is close to the skin and a bit powdery, which is usually not my thing, but here it works. The pear combined with the wonderful pink pepper opens a wonderfully lightly herbal-bitter-fruity overture in my nose....very nice and brilliantly unsweet, as I really don’t like sweet scents, regardless of the season! This Ungaro is undoubtedly very grown-up and knows exactly what it wants - namely a female being who knows what she wants! He is not shy or reserved, but also not at all intrusive....presence with a touch of understatement, I would say. Over time, I can perceive a small, fine, cheeky violet that skillfully sneaks up to the rose, while the nectarine is probably already enjoying its well-deserved winter sleep, which I find unfortunate as it doesn’t reveal itself to me at all! I think the scent goes wonderfully with a black cashmere sweater and chic skinny jeans...just not too ladylike or overly feminine! Over time, it gains depth and the musk-vanilla mélange comes to the fore....this makes me think of a blazing fire and the crackling and warmth make me close my eyes and think of the next summer, which I hope will come soon! This scent has something cozy combined with sensuality, which is not too dominant or forward! I am currently considering whether it might also suit a chic gentleman in his prime...I think this Ungaro is definitely worth a try. It has something!

Le Fou
My cousin raved so much about Ungaro that I set out to find it in the city.

And there I discovered L Amour fou.

The name alone irresistibly drew me in, as one of my favorite horses was named "Le Fou".
His name was fitting, as he had a few tricks up his sleeve and was not easy to ride.
Nevertheless, he was a beauty - noble, elegant, and talented.
And always full of surprises.

I can also be a bit of a "scatterbrained" dreamer at times - and we were two peas in a pod, as his character was fundamentally sweet and affectionate.

He would have liked the scent, as he would thoroughly sniff me every morning and judge my fragrance choice.

L Amour Fou is also quirky - but gentle.
Pear and blackberry are softly fruity and the pink pepper pleasantly spirited.
The nectarine is creamy sweet, the rose elegant and proud, and the violet charmingly affectionate.
The cashmere wood distinctly exudes a smoky aroma, which is beautifully balanced by the warm vanilla.

A vibrant, shimmering fragrance - yet with an astonishing amount of feeling.

I would love to embark on one of our surprise rides with my "Le Fou" wearing this scent.

Did not convince me
My first blind buy ^^ and I was a bit excited.

Unpacked and uiii yes, the bottle is really appealing, anticipation spreads ... so I get started and
spray looos pffffffff and again pffffff and again ... it should be worth it...
I sniff and sniff and smell a synthetic scent, very light, hardly noticeable, yes maybe I sense a bit of rose, but that’s all there is, when I breathe in very close and deep it tickles in my nose, that could maybe be the pepper .... hm I think maybe a few more sprays ... okay so again pffffffff but unfortunately nothing happened between me and the scent. I can hardly perceive it (I actually find that the worst).

Now that I have been wearing it for a while, it smells to me like a soap from Rossmann....

Funny how different tastes can be!

The only positive is the bottle, it is really beautiful :-) and since it was truly a bargain, I am richer by another experience and at least a nice bottle ;-)

Fresh-Smelling Roses
Ah yes, there are so many unknown scents for me, like sand at the beach,… or perfumes in Parfumo… (sounds like a plague hehe! And yes, I intentionally wrote ParfumAs he he he).
But as always, this is a delightful thing for me, as I get to know more and more brands and unfortunately find it increasingly difficult to decide what I would like to buy… but never mind. So here comes another new scent or rather a new scent description from me…

The scent:
The beginning is fruity fresh, as you can quickly smell the delicious pear, but there is also a light, spicy note from the pink pepper (although pink pepper actually smells sweet, right?). This spicy note quickly fades, and the scent remains fruity for a little while.
In the heart note, you primarily smell roses and then the sweet violets. From here on, the scent becomes more floral, with the fruity notes quite far in the background, if they can even be perceived at all. The combination of roses and violets also smells a bit like fabric softener, thus conveying a feeling of purity.
In the base, the scent gains another sweet note from the musk. By the way, the fabric softener-like impression disappears from here on, well at least it’s not as strong anymore. Nevertheless, the scent does not become too sweet. The vanilla, which by the way has been present since the heart note, gives the scent a nice, powdery note, and the base features a light wood scent.

Longevity and sillage:
The longevity is about three to five hours, after which it unfortunately becomes very weak on the skin.
The sillage is somewhat weak, and the scent radiates only moderately. It can be perceived at a distance, but it does not leave a lasting impression when passing by.

The bottle:
The beautifully designed bottle is rectangular and has a dark gradient downwards, with the thick glass bottom being almost black. The polygonal cap is purple with a black rim and looks like a gemstone. There is no label; instead, the name of the scent is printed directly on the front. Everything is not particularly special, but not bad either.

L’Amour Fou EDP is quite a nice, but unfortunately also much too weak, sweet scent that smells of roses and vanilla and should appeal to most ladies here quite well.

It works well on warm days and is therefore a lovely daytime scent in spring and summer. But unfortunately, it is too weak to use for going out, for example. Nevertheless, it is suitable for relaxing and so on, making it good for leisure time.

I would give it a try, even though there are indeed stronger and better rose scents that also last longer on the skin, L’Amour Fou is at least very affordable.

Sensual-smoky-gray eminence that has it all
I find it really difficult to recognize and describe a fragrance explicitly by its components, but I liked my new conquest “L’Amour Fou” so much that I will just give it a try and write my first fragrance review here.

The bottle looks valuable, feels good in the hand, and has a pleasant weight. I personally find the combination of the smoky-gray color of the glass bottle with the black-pink cap very beautiful and pleasing to the eye. The design is overall calm and balanced (and does not "scream" for attention).

Upon spraying it on the skin, I immediately perceive rhubarb, beautifully fruity; then a note of incense comes in, the scent of which reminds me of my grandma's “Räuchermännchen,” a small carved wooden figure that she always brought out during the pre-Christmas season to fill its hollow belly with a small fragrance cone that, when lit, magically produced smoke from its mouth, smelling deliciously of sandalwood. As a child, I was of course amazed and thought it was great.

The opening of the fragrance is warm and flattering. After a short time, bright pepper and musk join in. In the heart note, the fragrance becomes cooler, and I think I perceive a hint of amber, paired with coconut flakes. And the pepper comes back now - a bit finer than before. My first association was "pink pepper." Does that even exist? I fear not. But what I mean is that the pepper is gentle and does not prick the nose.

I think “L’Amour Fou” is a beautiful feminine fragrance for autumn - but I would also wear it in spring. In winter, the fragrance components might be overwhelmed by the cold temperatures, but that needs to be tried out first. As the wearer of this fragrance, I imagine a mature and sensual woman who is grounded and knows how to appreciate the good things in life. She chooses a fragrance that is present and pleasantly accentuates her appearance without overwhelming herself or her surroundings. And I must say, when “L’Amour Fou” "cools down" after the initial phase of wearing, an irresistible note develops that is creamy, peppery, with a hint of coconut, rose, and amber, or maybe it’s the musk, but this combination is, in my opinion, so sensually plump without being intrusive that it almost has an erotic quality.

As it stands now, this fragrance could become a future regular in my perfume collection. But first, let’s see what time brings…

Fruity notes of blackberry, nectarine and pear sink deeply into a cushion of violet powder puffs. Fun in a nod to the '80s sort of way.

It's becoming my favorite lipstick scent. But not for little girls! So no pink, but dark purple lipstick!

Smells like a warm, creamy lipstick note - not bad, but not a candidate for all-day kissing.

Delicate fruity opening with a hint of pepper, develops into a very fine smoky, softly floral-woody, vanilla-powdery scent, I like it.

Got it in a swap game. Should definitely keep it. Not letting it go now. Feminine, womanly, rosy (not wild rose).

A berry-strong start that is quickly captured by floral notes.
Later, powdery woods join in.
A beautiful and harmonious scent!

Juicy (not powdery) dark berries, dark roses, harmonious, not too sweet, rounded and well-balanced, quite strong and long-lasting. Yes.

It starts beautifully fruity/sweet. Then the scent settles like powder on the skin. Later, it becomes more floral with a hint of wood.

Average scent, nothing special and fades away very quickly. Those who like it can't complain at this price, but I'm not one of them :-)
