A very terrestrial laundry scent
I absolutely love this bottle, and the notes list sounds right up my alley, too. So it was a no-brainer for me to get a decant, even though I never found any of Ungaro fragrances I tried at the drugstore randomly particularly interesting.
This one is... Fine. But nothing more. The notes I smell the most out of the long list are mango, white musk and almond, in this order. It's a bit of a sour mango, maybe because it's combined with citruses and blackcurrant. Unfortunately I prefer mango fragrances that smell ripe and sweet. Then there are heaps and heaps of laundry musk in this, which give the fragrance a sharp, detergent-like edge that I don't enjoy. Almond, and to a lesser extent tonka and vanilla, is the saving grace for the scent. It adds warmth, creaminess and sweetness.
The florals are completely missing in action, and the bellini note, which I was most interested in, is only detectable if you know it's supposed to be there. I wish it had more of a peachy note.
All in all this is summery and fruity, but way too artificially clean for me. It reminds me of Paco Rabanne fame in a way, that one smells like mango with laundry detergent, too. But Fame is a little less abrasive. Now don't get me wrong, Cosmic isn't awful, just unexciting and a bit too harsh. I don't see how it could fit the space theme or the cute saturn bottle, it's so far from an otherworldly scent. It's something we smell very often on this earth.
