The Man was sensually Intensified...
I was lucky to have owned this Rochas Man and recently, the very hard to find, Rochas Man Intense.

Rochas Man, to many who have tried, this is a very good mocha scent in perfume. It is perfectly refined to be noticed, to wear a woody sweet gourmand with a touch of floral plus an amazing blend of coffee, vanilla, musk, amber and others.

Compliments are easy when wearing it. Sensual, rugged (I think), moderately loud and one of the best winter moment cuddling scent. Should I not known that this is from Rochas, I would have guessed that this is a niche fragrance. Something to be addicted with because even if there is a resemblance with Bond no. 9 New Haarlem (maple sweeter), Rochas Man, will steal your moment once you take a whiff of it from someone with the right skin chemistry. Projection is moderate, Longevity is monster. Is it worth a space to perfume collectors? Definitely.

Rochas Man Intense, to put it simply by feeling is "mocha done better than Rochas Man". RM and RMI share the same top but less on floral notes. RM from top to heart is more intense and loud. RMI is more impressive from heart to base but closer to skin, yet more intimate.

Close to skin but with more depth, warmer, creamier, darker, lesser sweetness and straight up, full bodied woody gourmand without the hint of floral (on my skin) . It is not as sharp as RM but definitely much pleasant to women's nose and a hint of powdery on base compared with RM. A scent that was more refined to enhance the heart and base for compliments but closer to skin. It is a scent not intended to shout and get noticed. A quiet one but a charmer that pulsate now and then to whiff up, to leave a statement of being bittersweet, sexy, pure mocha goodness & very addictive to sniff the skin.

Discontinued? What a shame!
Many years ago, I tested this pink Rochas. It must be well over 10 years ago. I had a sample of this fragrance. Unfortunately, I have somewhat vague memories of it. I had a sample, but I didn't buy this scent. It must have been sometime in my teenage years, as it apparently got discontinued quickly.
I mistakenly bought the regular Rochas and wondered why the scent had a different color. Recently, I discovered that there was indeed a pink version. Unfortunately, like so many fragrances, it has been discontinued. Unjustly so. I don't remember this scent very well, but it was definitely slightly different from Rochas Man. This pink version was a bit sweeter and more delicious. The pyramid is quite similar, yet I found, and still find, the pink Intense version even better. I don't understand how such a good fragrance can be discontinued. Even though you get a similar version with Rochas Man, this one was truly an erotic gourmand bomb. Even though I prefer this version, I don't want to diminish Rochas Man. I always have Rochas Man in my collection and enjoy wearing it.

Necessary? …Absolutely!
Sorry Nw1990, but I have to strongly disagree! Whether on the test strip, now, after a few hours, or the next day on my arm… I can tell these two apart. And for me, the reason is simple: they smell different and I find both necessary ;). Although I must admit that over time, the "non-Intense" becomes more similar, but the claim that they smell the same is, in my opinion, not true.
I use the Intense more often than the regular one, but that is also partly because I have it as an After Shave (the regular one, there’s only one AS) and I often use the Intense together with it.
Yes, it smells different, no, it is not more intense (in terms of scent/sillage), no, it does not last longer, and yes, it is significantly more expensive. However, I find the price justifiable and Rochas Man lasts wonderfully and long for me, even the AS.
I find the difference between the two very clear, and if someone already finds Rochas Man too sweet or borderline, they might want to steer clear of the Intense. That is the sugary,… no, syrupy sweet vanilla bomb… For those who simply find Rochas Man delicious: put a muzzle on if you try the Intense, otherwise your arm might not be too safe ;)

Conclusion:
Personally, I find it better and tastier. A part of the 'coffee' has to give way to the vanilla, and it is very sweet. I find the price (50ml on Amazon for 37.45 + 2.90 shipping from "DerGepflegteMann(.de)" [can I write that here?!]) quite reasonable, and I will never give up this great EDT; it would rather be the regular one that has to go or be replaced by the After Shave. An absolute recommendation to test and/or buy!

Best, TLO

Necessary???
I recently had the chance to test the pink version in Munich at the Turkish store.
You don't really need to say much...except that the scent is back...and that it smells almost exactly like the regular one.

If you spray the regular one twice on the same spot, it smells exactly the same.
The longevity is also the same as the regular one.

Aside from the fact that the Intense version looks better, there’s no need to bother with it if you already own the other one.

I can't really say more about it.

Sweeter and more delicious than the original. Not much different, the perfect version of this scent. It's a shame that many good fragrances disappear.

How could anyone create such a wonderful scent? When I wear it, I could just eat myself up ;) A sweet dream in pink.
