hardcover books and plummy smoke

this one is nice, its not spectacular but its a nice simple scent that works for what it is. The opening is a very apparent green tangerine, it smells like an unripe tangerine or more so the rinds of a tangerine fruit as there’s no fruitiness, no sweetness. The heart is faintly smoky with a plummy aroma and faint sweetness, its light and airy, close to skin. The dry down is a warm and powdery skin scent with remnants of the vanilla orchid and plummy smoke, but it’s all very faint. This smells reminiscent of a hardcover book, smoky, faintly sweet, weirdly fruity, it’s like a stack of old hardcover books. It’s not anything special but it’s still a good scent, way overpriced for such low projection and simplicity though.

Iris & baby wipes

There's nothing much to say about this, its clean, floral, powdery & somewhat creamy.

Reminds me of Dove deodorant for women. Its iris with white musk but the iris isn't what it smells like in L'Homme for example, its not that buttery its just a floral fragment, if someone paid retail for this im sorry for you, it's just a second-skin scent without any spark to it aside from smelling like clean baby butt and wet wipes. I got bored when I wore it, meh.

Sandalwood and amber with restraint

Smells like a dry shampoo I used to use. A sort of musky, faintly fruity, sandalwood/amber scent. The sandalwood and amber are quite modest in this one and aren't at all overpowering as I tend to find them in other perfumes. Everything about this is measured and refined, and while it doesn't suit my personal tastes, I have to recognize that this is a very skillfully blended perfume.

It's a fairly subdued and subtle fragrance, so its projection will naturally be somewhat lacking. More of an "in the office" kind of perfume than "beastmode." Longevity is similarly "just okay."

These are the words of Mississipi Goddam, a song by Nina Simone (to whom this fragrance is dedicated), created in 1963, after learning of the arson attack in a Baptist church in Alabama that cost the lives of four little girls.
A controversial song, not played on the radio but which Nina Simone will perform in all her live performances.
“She was an Anomaly” is one of the phrases that best defines this strong woman, a fighter for racial and gender rights, having the courage to oppose the system.
This creation with unusual but harmonious notes wants to describe her: a floral, slightly fruity and powdery combination. Original and beautiful, I liked it a lot.

Pastel kitten fur & powdered sugar

Cutie musky ambery skin scent that brings to mind fuzzy kitten fur and powdered sugar. If this scent was a color it would be a pale lilac or baby pink. Synthetic doll head sweetness that I love, I wear this often to bed because it makes me happy, sits very close to the skin, very light. My favorite and only full bottle purchase from the ELDO discovery set, which is a fantastic and varied set especially considering the price, highly recommend.
