Rose/Amber
Alhambra, named after the fortress complex in Granada, itself named after the color "red" in Arabic, "Al-Hamra," is an exotic oriental-floral. It opens with an almost sour, yet dusty and dry, rose note. The opening is similar to another Fueguia, Ballena de la Pampa Perfume, but a bit sweeter on account of the floral presence. As the fragrance dries down, the amber starts presenting itself as a spicy resinous sweetness that carries the rose note along. In sum, a great creation, but not worth anywhere near the ridiculous asking price of $757 USD for 100ml at the time of this writing. The materials used seem high quality enough, but it is more comparable to something like Amouage, which one can get at discounters for less than a fifth of the price.
