Wicked Good Gallagher Fragrances 2019

This stuff is literally nose cocaine and is tied for the favorite scent in my collection. Just wow. Even though it wasn’t the intention of the creator this is literally the most realistic interpretation of brownie mix I have ever smelled, it makes me hungry whenever I wear it, and that’s honestly the best way I could describe it. There’s only three notes in this fragrance, Chocolate, Tonka Bean, and Genuine Madagascar Vanilla, and they work together to make a simple, yet undeniably masterfully crafted fragrance. I never recommend blind buying fragrances, but if you’re a fan of chocolate and vanilla like myself this would honestly be one of the few fragrances I can safely say you will enjoy without a doubt. Heavenly stuff.

I'm a bit wary about chocolate fragrances, especially from niche and indie brands. Chocolate is lovely, but I prefer it as one part of a more complex composition, not so much as a solinote. Many pure chocolate fragrances smell kind of cheap and candle-like to me. I'm happy to report that Wicked Good doesn't have this problem!
It's a bitter, dry chocolate scent with a high cacao content with a warm tonka and vanilla base. I don't perceive this as milk chocolate, it's clearly dark chocolate. In the opening I find it slightly boozy, a bit like Bailey's liqueur, but not as much as in Profumum Roma Sorriso (one of the niche chocolates I don't like). Later in the drydown the tonka becomes quite noticeable and gives the scent a slightly waxy texture, but not enough to push it into candle territory. Vanilla, of course, is present all the time. Does anyone else sense a very subtle Tobacco Vanille vibe in this?

Wicked Good is a nice chocolate scent that I find much more wearable than many others from this category. I still wouldn't chose it, it's not my style at all, but I do like it.

Wicked Good was originally a limited edition. Daniel himself reports that in recent years the price for natural vanilla essences has more than tenfold. With a fragrance that consists of only 3 notes and where the creator is also not willing to rely on synthetics, this is essentially a death sentence for a scent.

So now Wicked Good is part of the permanent collection and will always be produced in small batches. Always with the tides of "vanilla availability" - there may still be indefinite empty stocks. I just took the plunge and risked the nearly 110€/30ml.

Wicked Good is a natural fragrance that, due to its ingredients, plays rather close to the skin. The slight smokiness of the vanilla takes away some of the sweetness from tonka and chocolate in a very harmonious way and lets the scent float like a warm, very delicious aura. The tonka bean becomes more pronounced after about 1 hour, without wanting to overpower the scent itself.

Since it is an EDT, however, in combination with the natural fragrance materials, the drydown is almost at the end for me after about 5 hours. For me, a very relaxed, incredibly delicious gourmand that resonates in the background and fits well for a cozy evening in late autumn/winter.

Simple and at the same time such a good gourmand.
Here you get a vanilla that smells boozy and very delicious.
A powdery chocolate that is not too powdery and not too sweet.
And tonka bean, all 3 notes harmonize well together.
Many think of Chocolate Greedy when they hear chocolate, this perfume is quite different.
Those who own Chocolate Greedy (like myself) can gladly add this one, they are simply too different.

A delicious scent for the evening/night with mediocre to good longevity and the same goes for the sillage.
