Chocolate-Vanilla Dream
A wonderful combination of vanilla and aromatic dark chocolate. It reminds me of a blend of Dark Vanilla and Café Intense by Montale. Only the rose makes the small but fine difference compared to the other two fragrances. At first, the vanilla-chocolate note dominates, which remains constant and yet allows a little room for the rose after some time, bringing in the necessary lightness.
A successful scent, even if it’s nothing new.

Here I sit, with roses and chocolate cake… but where is the coffee?
Ladies and Gentlemen,
today I would like to test Tethys with you, which is advertised as a particularly good coffee scent and which I became aware of through YouTube videos. For quite some time, I have been searching for a perfume that authentically captures the aroma of roasted coffee. Has Paolo Terenzi succeeded in capturing this scent in a bottle with Tethys? Let's find out together.

The scent:
The perfume starts off quite alcoholic with a strong scent of rose. This note remains dominantly present throughout the entire scent development. Then, a chocolate note joins in, combined with a bit of fruity jam, reminiscent of soft cake or Mon Chéri. This combination almost has something of a red wine, as the alcoholic note continues to resonate.
Gradually, Tethys becomes slightly powdery due to the musk. Unfortunately, one waits in vain for the coffee… there’s nothing of roasted coffee or at least sweet milk coffee.
Much more does not happen. The scent remains rather linear, although the mentioned notes are clearly discernible.

Conclusion:
Anyone hoping for a successful coffee scent will unfortunately be disappointed; however, those searching for a rose scent will surely find it here.
What I found positive about this perfume is the enormous sillage and the damn good longevity. One spray is enough, and the scent fills the room. This can indeed be overwhelming and penetrating if you don't like it. All those who enjoy the scent combination should be thrilled by the quality. Even the next day, the perfume is still noticeably present, and that is top-notch - keyword Beastmode!
Personally, however, I did not like Tethys. It is too heavy, too rose-heavy, and combined with the chocolate, it’s not a combination that tempts me to sniff.

For me, it is by no means a unisex scent, but clearly leans towards the feminine side.
Along with the fact that there is no coffee to be smelled, it is not a candidate for my collection. In terms of rose scents, I believe there are also more beautiful ones on the market at a significantly lower price. Of course… as already mentioned, the quality is clearly noticeable, and you do get something for your money; however, I still find it too high for such a perfume.
Ultimately, everyone must decide for themselves.
To all those interested in Tethys, I definitely advise against a blind purchase and recommend ordering a sample of the fragrance first.

Summary:

Scent: 6
Longevity: 10
Sillage: 10
Bottle: 7
Price: 6

Here I sit, as a rose cavalier with my piece of chocolate cake… waiting in vain for my ordered coffee and for my date, who also does not show up.
Disappointed, I pay, take my hat, and leave the café.

I thank you for reading my review and hope it was helpful to you.
Until next time.

Your Gentleman

Sweet, thick rose musk synthetic. In the background, burnt coffee grounds simmer on the overheated stove.

quite alluring, even sexy - this warming coffee with refreshing rose - one of many compelling scents from the Terenzi series

After a long search for a nice coffee scent for "him," I've finally found it.
Montale and the like can pack it up :)

Creamy chocolate gourmand.
Bittersweet, fresh-fruity rose.
Coffee beans, vanilla-flavored.
Woody, earthy, bitter. Plus soft musk.

A very good alternative to Montale Intense Cafe, very nice presentation, great price/quality and longevity bomb!

Reminds me a lot of Intense Cafe by Montale, just a bit smoother.
Sillage is above average.

I smell coffee mixed with rose. If you like it. It's not my thing. H/S is also not exactly thrilling.

Bought for the coffee (only slightly noticeable), stayed for the sweet chocolate rose. H/S as an extrait is astronomical. I'm a fan!

Rose is very dominant. Chocolate adds to it along with some wine and powdery musk. No coffee. It feels more feminine. Too expensive for that.
