Sour grapefruit
Looking for sour realistic passionfruit or grapefruit smell? You dont need to look any further! Here is Aqua allegoria passiflora! I had mini cologne version coming with my ysl black opium edt. So my comments based on mini version. Not pyramidal scent, more linear type. Also not complex, so basic style. Zesty sour grapefruit and bit passionfruit. Season= much more spring and summer days. Hot climate.

A fragrance that brightens the heart.
The refreshing and vibrant scents of grapefruit and lemon lead into passion fruit. The acidity and freshness are emphasized, with the grapefruit base being particularly juicy. A touch of aldehyde further enhances the citrus freshness, creating a dazzling impression reminiscent of sunlight.

Adding to this is a gentle melody centered around orange blossom, accented by the warm, tropical scent of ylang-ylang, evoking a sense of calm and basking in the abundant blessings of the sun.

A fragrance blessed by the sun, like a burst of yellow-orange colors. Fresh, juicy, and gentle. A blissful fresh note that uplifts the spirit.

A fragrance that truly evokes the blessings of the sun, brightness, and energy. When you're drawn to a scent that makes you excited, bright, and smile, you might be feeling tired. Or, it's a highly recommended fragrance when you want to boost your motivation. A fragrance you'll want to wear when you want to spend your days with a smile.

A pretty passion fruit…!
As is often the case, there are also some new Aqua Allegoria fragrances from Guerlain this year. One of them is this passion fruit scent, which I once again had a hard time spraying on myself. However, the store was quite empty last time despite it being the weekend (Saturday), so there was only one saleswoman hanging around in the Guerlain section.

… and wow! She was gorgeous! So gorgeous that my brain kept bombarding me with phrases like:
“She is pretty and sweet! Wow, she is pretty and sweet”
“She is pretty and sweet! Wow, she is pretty and sweet”
“She is pretty and sweet! Wow, she is pretty and sweet”
“She is pretty and…” … well, you get the idea… *sigh*

So I tried not to listen to myself and not to say something like “I’m looking for a fragrance for my girlfriend!” while looking at women’s perfumes, so she wouldn’t think: “Hmm, he already has a girlfriend!”,… waaaah! No! Instead, I probably couldn’t say anything at all while babbling about fragrances and blah blah… I don’t even remember what I might have said before I left (though I did let her spray the scent on my arm! He he he),… hopefully, I didn’t say anything completely stupid,… argh! :D

Since my brain was constantly saying “She is pretty and sweet! Wow, she is pretty and sweet” (instead of humming the Tetris melody like usual...) and I couldn’t think straight anymore, I hope I didn’t say something dumb like “Ah, a passion fruit is really pretty!” or something like that while sniffing the lovely scent of the passion fruit and simultaneously looking into the pretty face of the saleswoman, damn damn damn!!!

Well, anyway, it was good that I had her spray this scent on me for testing, as I probably would have dropped the bottle in my nervousness...!
Also, I can now introduce you to this scent, which, while not particularly extraordinary, has still become a very pleasant fragrance.

The Scent:
Hmm,… right from the start, you immediately smell a beautifully fruity passion fruit, which has a lovely, sweet aura. The top note actually only smells of passion fruit, and gradually a zesty grapefruit comes in, which pairs very well with the sweet-scented passion fruit and enhances the impression of a cheerful summer fragrance.
The aquatic notes are somehow less intense but still noticeable. The ylang-ylang (which seems to be present in every new fragrance or flanker lately…) is faint here, which I appreciate, as otherwise, it would have had too sultry an aura, which would have detracted from the freshness of the scent (at least in my opinion). In any case, I think ylang-ylang doesn’t fit at all with fragrances meant for spring and summer!
Otherwise, the scent remains fresh, lightly floral, fruity-sweet, and simply beautiful!

The Sillage and Longevity:
The sillage is moderate, but that’s what you expect from most Aqua Allegorias or summer fragrances in general. Therefore, it will hardly be noticeable unless you are close by. The longevity is also low, and you can only smell it for about three to four hours before it becomes weaker.

The Bottle:
The bottle comes in the well-known “bee bottles,” but this one doesn’t have any bees embedded in the glass. Nevertheless, the bottle looks very nice with its cylindrical shape and domed top, as the dome is adorned with golden honeycombs, and the light pink fragrance liquid adds to the visual pleasure. The cap is gold-plated and round. The label is square and white, and while the brand name is in gold lettering, the name of the fragrance, Passiflora, is written in violet. A beautiful bottle!

“She is pretty and sweet! Wow, she is pretty and sweet”
… Shut up, brain! What else did I want to say? Oh right, yes:
Aaah, the scent is pretty!... beautiful! I mean BEAUTIFUL!!! *sigh*

The scent is perfectly created for summer, as it is airy and light, sweet and beautiful, just a feel-good fragrance that you can spray on again and again and should do so, as it doesn’t last very long.

It can be used very well during the day, maybe also when going out, although, as mentioned above, you might need to reapply it once or twice. Be that as it may, despite the lovely scent, one should know that the fragrance itself is quite simply constructed. It’s nothing breathtakingly new, nothing really exciting, not something that hasn’t already been done hundreds of times by other brands,… BUT: This fragrance is, as often, of the usual good Guerlain quality, meaning that aside from the lovely scent, it has no annoying synthetic notes, comes in a nice bottle, and is one of those fragrances that makes you start smiling as soon as you sniff it because it’s so pleasant! As I said, a feel-good fragrance indeed!

Therefore, I would recommend everyone here to test this fragrance; it could definitely be worth it! Especially in this lovely weather!

And I’m sure this scent would suit you ladies perfectly, oh… you know, so delicious, fresh, yummy enough to bite into!!! Aaargh, maybe I should have told the saleswoman that she would definitely smell great with it (and then she would probably have rolled her eyes, as she surely hears that a hundred times a day from various guys… aaargh…).
But noooo, this stupid guy here has to be shy again, so that no word came out of him (except for probably stupid babble)… um… I need to sigh again: *seeeeeeeeeuffzzfzfzffz* Hrm, aaargh… um, could it be that I’m shouting too much today? :DD

Anyway, go test it! And let a smile appear on your faces, because right now, in this lovely weather, such a scent can be used absolutely perfectly :)

Power breakfast poolside, with porn star
Aqua Allegorias have been around for a long time, almost 20 years. I still remember when I held the first one in my hands, with many question marks on my face. Among other things, I wondered why the bottles of Pampelune and Herba Fresca looked so similar, apart from the (then) hang tag. And why do they smell so...Yves Rocher? Not like the "big" Guerlains that had already won my heart, but rather...monosyllabic.
Then I understood: that's how it's supposed to be! Aah, now I get it....Summer scent, freshness kick, nature-identical, small price (compared to the "big" ones), more quality but still less than YR's "Nature" scents.
Many Allegorias came and went, some came to stay.
However, this year the next level has been reached: for the first time, there are more than the usual 5 on the market, with a Travel Exclusive for the Duty Free area in recent years as well. And - BAM - for the first time, an Aqua Allegoria truly lives up to its name. Because AA Passiflora showcases a new note. Aquatic! It's basically nothing new. I was running away from aquatic scents back in the 90s when Cool Water Woman, Escape, and others were almost starting to create spray in their bottles with the sea breeze. But - Guerlain still has a soft spot with me - AA Passiflora is not a 90s block of stone, but a successful combination of sea salt, citrus fruit, and sunscreen. Okay, I can hardly detect the passion fruit, but that's a good thing. Because there is an absolutely delicious cocktail called Porn star, which tastes quite similar to how AA Passiflora smells. It's also based on passion fruit, but not sweet, refreshing, a bit of vacation, a bit of luxury. Lots of bare skin.

A Will-o'-the-Wisp - but what a one!
Passiflora is the Latin technical term for passion flowers.

"Flower" is only a minor aspect of Passiflora, as the fruity notes clearly dominate both the top and heart notes. Even the citrus component and the aquatic note, on which the fruity notes float, are more present than the blossoms. But passion - yes, the name lives up to its promise.

Passiflora is fruity and sweet, without being cloying. Lemon and the aquatic note successfully prevent it from slipping into banal sweetness. It is even elegant, but - and this must be particularly emphasized positively - not so elegant that you would never dare to wear it. Some fragrances are such an orchestra that they can only be worn appropriately at the opera - so rather rarely, even for an opera enthusiast. Passiflora, on the other hand, is not a scent that makes you ponder in front of the perfume cabinet in the morning about whether you might be overdoing it a bit. Because it has class, but subtle class. Its strength does not come at the expense of its femininity; it is like a figure skater - strong and yet immortal beauty.

Passiflora is among the fragrances that not only appeal to the sense of smell but also move something in the soul. With Passiflora, I simply feel confident. When I need reassurance, I apply it and sniff at my wrist - BAM, there it is, the certainty that I can achieve anything. There are only a few fragrances that can do that.

Watery passionfruit (slightly synthetic) with a lot of grapefruit. Aquatic note is strong and reminds me of 90s men's fragrances. Not bad.

Sad to see this is being discontinued. Beautiful citruses without that extra sweetness, perfect blend for the summer. Refreshing and happy

The only Aqua Allegoria I've smelled and disliked. Initially it's lovely - the passionfruit is spot on at first. But it turns so sour.

Very fruity with slight aquatic notes that weren't necessary. A woody base would have suited the scent better: summery!

Passiflora shines brightly with the sun. A wonderful mix of citrus fruits kissed by sunlight with a delicate sweetness. Fine, summery.
