the opera - piano or forte?
...a short statement that would be too long for a statement... ^^
1890 / la dame de pique is inspired by tchaikovsky's opera and dedicated to her
although only a few notes from the pyramids overlap, the character of the fragrance reminds me of xerjoff's opera.
both beautifully dark floral, something positively old-school. i really like such a vintage diva vibe.
where the fruity florality predominates in opera, the 1890 has a little more room for a light spiciness and a slightly subliminal leathery smokiness. the 1890 is therefore also a little less powdery.
xerjoff's opera is more present in its opulence, the 1890 is somewhat more restrained in its sillage.
however, both are independent fragrances with their own justification and each finds its occasion.
even if 1890 is declared as a women's fragrance, it may be the slightly more masculine opera?
but since I don't give a damn about such classifications anyway, I like wearing both of them very much.
so if you like the opera a little more filigree piano and not just forte, you should risk a nose.
