Quality Oud Fragrance That Punches Above Its Weight
Opening with a spicy note that is listed as saffron but I get more of a cinnamon-y vibe, it quickly transitions to a smoky oud-floral. A bit of leather from the cashmeran, resins from the labdanum, smoky wood from the gaiac, and a medicinal oud note not unlike the Laos oud used in Francis Kurkdjian's Oud line. I'm not expecting it to be real oud at this price range, but it sure smells like it. Thankfully the raspberry note is far in the background because a loud synthetic fruity note would upset the delicate balance of this fragrance. The ISO-E provides a light freshness to the whole thing, preventing it from getting too dark with the smoky resins; superbly blended.
