Roses & Basil

~ Inspiration ~
I was not familiar with the brand or the perfumes of Jaques Battini until I had the opportunity to test "Moments," among others.

~ Bottle ~
The square glass bottle appears simple yet elegant. It is adorned at the front with a small stone and contains a delicate pink liquid that complements the rosy-green scent well.

~ Fragrance ~
Upon spraying, I immediately notice a pleasant spiciness from basil leaves. Dewy fresh roses and lily of the valley provide a clean, floral aura, while woods and musk gently round it off.

~ Longevity ~
On my skin, it lasts about 4 hours (a bit longer on clothing and hair). 2-3 sprays are enough; otherwise, it becomes too synthetic for me.

~ Occasion ~
It fits well for the warmer and hot days in spring and summer (also suitable for the office).

~ Conclusion ~
It reminds me of "Chloé," as it has that "rosy-fresh-laundry character" and is interestingly complemented by basil!

...the green rose

After having tested a few fragrances from this line and already described two, I would now like to write something about the rose in Jacques Battini's garden. I must say that I am a great lover of rose scents and my preference leans more towards natural fragrances. However, I usually try everything that contains or is labeled with rose, and I am often disappointed by the "cheaper" or "regular" perfumes.
Here it is a bit different:
The fragrance "Moments" starts with a green, fresh rose. I am quite astonished, as these inexpensive scents usually smell rather sweet and artificially floral. But here - none of that to be smelled. The first impression is very green, and a well-scented rose is growing in the garden. After reading the fragrance pyramid later, I envisioned a rose bush surrounded by herbs in my mind's eye. Once the "green" fades, a rather general floral scent lingers on my arm for a long time. At some point, I can no longer detect the rose, but the remaining scent is pleasant and truly very long-lasting.
My conclusion about the fragrance: I know many rose scents that I like much better. But there are also many more expensive perfumes and scents where the rose smells more artificial and often barely bearable for me. For the low price, it is a good alternative for younger and "new" perfume users as an introduction!
And so I took this opportunity and passed the fragrance on to a very nice 19-year-old young woman, who finds the scent very lovely and will also use it - in my rose scent collection, it would have been somewhat overlooked.
Since I am very particular about rose scents, this will be reflected in my rating - even though I find the fragrance recommendable - it simply cannot "compete" with a really good rose scent. The longevity is, as with the other Jacques Battini fragrances, really very good (you can still smell some of the perfume the next day) and the sillage is also nice, the bottle pleases me quite well (I wouldn't necessarily need Swarovski, but it fits quite well with the target clientele I mentioned), as there are indeed much cheaper-looking bottles than this one.

Why is this great fragrance not more well-known? :)

Moments is a very feminine scent and very, very floral.
It smells almost exclusively of roses and jasmine, which I find pleasant.
The longevity is really good and the sillage is rather strong; I would say that 2 sprays are enough for the day.

I also find the bottle very beautiful; I own the 50ml version and it fits well in the hand. The delicate pink color reflects how the scent feels - very feminine, and the Swarovski stone on the front adds a touch of elegance.

Sure, the fragrance is not the best, but I find it quite pleasant, especially at the beginning of summer. Those expecting something grand may be disappointed here.
However, if you want to smell floral and very feminine with notes of rose and jasmine, you are in the right place.

A small, unknown fragrance with a big impact.

It's worth trying; you have nothing to lose :)

The basil-infused version of "Yves Rocher - Moment de Bonheur" and "Chloé - Roses de Chloé"

- Scent -
naturally powdery rose surrounded by a basil bush.

- Longevity -
2 sprays are enough to smell like spring for half the day.

- Sillage -
stronger than "Moment de Bonheur"

- Conclusion -
a beautiful scent with addictive potential. Smells, as described, very similar to the aforementioned perfumes, especially the first one. However, the "basil" is quite prominent. "Moments" lasts longer on me than "MdB" and smells a bit more like laundry. I can't quite decide which perfume I like more, as I am initially confused that it is not a dupe of "Chloé Eau de Parfum."

A floral scent that features various notes like jasmine, rose, and lily of the valley. Unlike other perfumes that smell of rose, this perfume is by no means artificial, but rather authentic and very, very pleasant. If you like the scent of jasmine and rose, this perfume is perfect for you.

Since only a few spritzes are needed, the 50 ml bottle lasts a long time, making the price quite justified.

A beautiful packaging with a lovely bottle, adorned with Swarovski stones, which every woman will appreciate ;)
