Unbiased
Last summer, one of my dogs had to undergo surgery. Since it was quite a distance to the veterinarian, he suggested that we could spend the time in the nearby city center. Said and done! As this city center turned out to be more of a small town center and we had a few hours to spare, my daughter and I also strolled into the local Ihr-Platz drugstore. At that time, it was "after Schlecker" and this drugstore was about to close as well. So we browsed through the heavily "reduced" (double meaning!) perfume selection and discovered these small bottles from Jacques Battini. Even at the regular selling price of around 15,--€/50ml, it was already very cheap, now thrown out at a bargain price. And somehow, I felt a little sorry for that. The whole "drugstore mainstream scents" were already "picked over," except for a few remnants that no one wanted. So I took one bottle of each of the four perfumes offered by the brand. On one hand, I like to try every conceivable direction (one should never be static), on the other hand, we would definitely have nice little gifts from my daughter for her friends. The bottles and the packaging really look valuable, with a Swarovski stone embedded in the bottle, if you like that sort of thing!
The bottles ended up in the depths of a folding box due to various time constraints, which my husband stumbled over several times in our storage room.

And since I currently have a bit of time on my hands, I finally took pity on the box and emptied it. The result is that I now have to test 4 scents or have already tested them:
Mystery from the Crystal Edition starts for me with a "licorice" scent. This confuses me a lot, as in my opinion, no ingredient points to this scent development. Bergamot, coriander, and orange sound rather fruity-fresh. I use coriander in cooking in both fresh and dried form, but licorice? So I start researching: coriander seeds are said to smell like anise: off to my spice cabinet, where ground coriander seeds are also stored: yes, it does smell a bit like that - that could be an explanation.
Since I am anyway on the lookout for a licorice scent, this fits perfectly - but wait, suddenly (after about 2 hours) an earthy, musty scent creeps up on me. Is there patchouli in there? Unfortunately, that usually doesn't work for me at all. I know scents that smell terribly musty on me, but on my daughter and my friend, they smell of all the other ingredients. This usually happens to me immediately, but that is not the case here. So I wait - and luckily, that only lasts a short while and transforms back into the licorice-like scent.
I will keep that for myself!
Even the next day, a spicy licorice scent remains on the skin. Even though the perfume, apart from the brief detour to patchouli, does not undergo any significant change on me (I certainly don't smell any flowers on myself), I am satisfied with the perfume and will definitely wear it on occasion - even though it was so "cheap."

Perfume or Eau de Cologne?
This "perfume" somehow fell into my hands. No idea what got into me... Maybe the Swarovski stone?
It reminds me of the Playboy fragrances, but overall it's better. It has a very nice, fresh, clean note.
The components are easy to detect. The top note is quite dominant with coriander, bergamot, and orange. In the heart note, which develops after about 30 minutes, I smell rose and jasmine. I actually like these scent directions very much. Unfortunately, the fragrance noticeably fades after a good hour, and the base of vanilla and patchouli is quite weak as well.
This is definitely not a perfume. Even if it says so. More like an EDC.
Well, for the price, I don't want to complain too much. In spring, it will come along in my handbag and accompany me.

I would say the scent suits young girls and spring well. The ingredients are not so strongly concentrated. Sometimes I feel like a young girl, so I will wear it.
