Affordable Allrounder with Weaknesses
Jacques Battini fragrances ... I had never really looked into them. I became aware of them purely by chance, did a little research, and came across interesting information. For instance, I was quite surprised to learn that the brand "Jacques Battini" exclusively sells 'pure perfume', meaning fragrances with a fragrance oil content of 15% +.
"So nice," thought little Franzi and blindly stocked up on several fragrances from the brand. Among them was "Ventus Sphere," one of the three fragrances from the Sphere line.
I can say upfront that "Ventus Sphere" is my favorite of all the Jacques Battini fragrances I purchased. I can also say that a higher fragrance oil content is not necessarily a guarantee for extraordinary longevity. ;-)
About the scent:
On my skin, I seem to skip the long-awaited, fruity opening with pomegranate. I was actually very much looking forward to it. I love pomegranate and would have liked to perceive it! Rather, I immediately notice a gentle floral note that comes across as very clean and fresh.
The fragrance does not undergo much development. What you spray on and sniff is what you keep. The good thing about it: You can't go wrong. A scent that simply fits. Now in winter, it seems (on me) very cool and reserved, while in summer it will surely be very soft and warm. It can adapt.
However, after 2-3 hours, it’s already over for me. The scent fades rapidly, leaving behind a hint of delicate nothingness.
In general, regarding the Jacques Battini fragrances (and thus also Ventus Sphere), as far as I can judge: They are not the ultimate conclusion of wisdom, but there are certainly worse and "cheaper" scents out there.
