Welcome Cocktail in Bali
~ Inspiration ~
I was previously unfamiliar with the brand Jaques Battini or any of its perfumes until I received a tester of "Tropical Bali."
~ Bottle ~
The packaging strongly reminds me of the Escada summer editions. On the colorful box, there is a drawn woman (without eyes?!) wearing an exotic (hibiscus) flower in her flowing hair. The bottle is slightly teardrop-shaped (similar to the mentioned Escadas) and filled with a delicate lilac liquid. The name is displayed in white lettering on the front, and a small hibiscus flower is also depicted here.
~ Fragrance ~
Upon spraying, it is briefly strong in alcohol, but that dissipates after a few seconds. Pineapple and lemon create a fruity-fresh opening. Delicate violets and magnolias provide a floral touch. It softly fades out with sandalwood and a hint of musk.
~ Longevity ~
On my skin, it lasts only about 2 hours (not much longer on clothing and hair). I perceive it more as a body spray, which you can confidently spritz from head to toe (if the slight synthetic note doesn’t bother you).
~ Occasion ~
It fits well for the warmer days in spring and summer (also suitable for the office). However, it is much too weak for the evening.
~ Conclusion ~
I quite like it overall, as it is neither too sweet nor too sour. Unfortunately, it evaporates fairly quickly despite multiple sprays...
