Where is the tea?
Hello my dear readers! Since I know that you always eagerly await "new material" from me, I am presenting you with a new fragrance today :)
Today it's about Thé Poudré from Jean-Charles Brosseau’s “Fleurs d’Ombre” fragrance collection. Yes, you can already guess that I am quite excited about the scent. Firstly, the fragrance is called Thé, which means tea, and secondly, the second part of the name “Poudré” suggests a soft and powdery scent, which I particularly love in women's fragrances, as it makes your delicious… uh, I meant your gentle skin appear even softer and more beautiful through powdery scents than it already is :)
Therefore, I don’t want to beat around the bush and will get straight to the fragrance description!
A little later, iris and heliotrope can still be smelled quite well. In the background, there’s a hint of green, and the black tea gradually makes itself known, unfortunately, but extremely weakly, so that it can only be detected if one concentrates on it.
Much later, I still primarily smell iris and heliotrope. Unfortunately, the tea does not become stronger, so this scent cannot be described as a tea fragrance. Besides heliotrope and iris, there are light woods in the base, as well as a small sweet scent cloud coming from the musk. Additionally, there’s a large “portion” of pure cleanliness. But overall, the fragrance actually smells almost consistently powdery and sweet from beginning to end.
Okay, so I have to say that while I liked the fragrance, it still disappointed me a bit. Yes, you read that right, the tea fragrance disappointed me, but this is partly due to the almost non-existent tea scent, which I was really looking forward to. It’s almost as if you want to prepare tea, but only let it steep for a minute or even less and instead drink hot water (...yuck... but I know women who have even drunk hot water for a while because they read somewhere that it helps with weight loss... just crazy people... :DD).
But on the other hand, the fragrance generally has little to offer. It smells almost consistently the same, with few exceptions, meaning it hardly changes from beginning to end. While this doesn’t have to be negative, it does come with the fact that the fragrance is so weak that you can hardly smell it on others.
However, it does provide a pleasant cuddle scent. Yes, I think the fragrance is not only suitable for oneself but is one of those scents that you would call a cuddle scent because you can only perceive it on others when you get very close to the person wearing it, at least… if they allow it :D
Oh yes, the fragrance somewhat reminds me of the clean scents from Prada, like Infusion d’Iris, only that this one is a bit weaker and simpler. If I had the choice, I would lean more towards Prada.
And that’s it for now! I wish you all a lovely evening, see you next time :)

The scent:
At the beginning, I smell iris, faint but sweet heliotrope, as well as weak bergamot and other light flowers. The sweetness soon becomes a bit stronger, and since it also has a hint of almonds, it’s surely the heliotrope that is gaining intensity alongside the iris. The iris makes the scent characteristically powdery and soft, harmonizing especially well with the lovely heliotrope, while the other notes remain weak but still serve as a “nice addition.” A little later, iris and heliotrope can still be smelled quite well. In the background, there’s a hint of green, and the black tea gradually makes itself known, unfortunately, but extremely weakly, so that it can only be detected if one concentrates on it.

The sillage and longevity:
The sillage is weak; the fragrance can only be briefly detected by others, and even then only from close range. Therefore, I found the longevity to be rather short, around five to six hours, well, let’s say rather below average. The bottle:
The bottle is octagonal and has patterned glass. These patterns consist of many pentagons, which are themselves patterned. The neck is gilded and displays the fragrance/brand name. The cap is round and shiny red. All in all, the bottle is wonderful, especially because of the great pattern, and looks good. Okay, so I have to say that while I liked the fragrance, it still disappointed me a bit.
