Everyday basic
This one gets lukewarm reviews on every platform, so I decided to give it a little love. First of, yes, it is kinda mid. Yes, one does expect something more gourmand looking at the notes and might be disappointed with the first sniff.
However! As the adage goes, basic things are popular for a reason. I wasn’t impressed with it at all. But then there came a day when I didn’t know what I wanted to wear. To go without any perfume felt like wasting a day of my life, so I gave this mid basic another chance. And then I continued to wear it for a week non-stop. I even think that this might become my signature for this winter.
It has my favorite citrus-rose-vanilla-patch combo with a juicy apple twist. Everything I love, except it’s so toned down, so not bothersome, that it fits every day, even without a specific mission/mood/statement.
The patchouli comes through after 5-10 minutes and never goes away. Gives a bit of a poisoned apple impression.
Overall, I think we are so used to getting impressed and blown away that we have forgotten the value of good enough wearable basics, which this one absolutely is.
