Pleasantly Inoffensive
This is wonderfully fresh fragrance, and it's great for work because it's not overpowering. This smells strongly of violets on my skin. I get a bit of fruit in the beginning, but after an hour or so, I primarily smell the floral notes with violet being the strongest. However, the amber, sandalwood, musk and cedarwood balance it out a bit.
The drawbacks are that it's not got great lasting power, but if I put a bit of vitamin E oil on my skin before I apply it, I can stretch it to a few hours. The sillage isn’t amazing either, but you can afford to apply it generously and often.
I've tried two Jeanne Arthes fragrances now, and I'm amazed by the value (both were roughly £5 each delivered). They don't smell cheap at all. Fragrance snobs might scoff at them, but I don't care. It leaves me more money to buy perfume.
