It's Magic!
I love fragrances with tonka bean. They usually exude warmth and give the scents a deep sensuality. This fragrance is currently my favorite from the Deluxe line. Although it is a relatively inexpensive scent from home shopping, that doesn't matter; first and foremost, it's about how it makes you feel, and if you feel good wearing it, then it doesn't matter where it comes from, what it costs, or whether it's a vintage scent or more mainstream or whatever! Beauty is in the eye of the beholder!
However, it wasn't love at first sniff! I found it initially very coumarin-heavy, too sweet, with the sweet vanilla coming off as somewhat artificial! I returned it after the first purchase. But somehow it had something, it was different from the others of its kind, and I couldn't get it out of my head. But nearly 70 euros was still too much for me. I waited for a new offer. Now it is available this week as a joker for a smart 39,- including shower gel, and I ordered it! Now I've been wearing it every day for almost a week.
The beauty of this fragrance is that it's not a mishmash; you can still very well smell the individual components. It's interesting! When you spray it, it initially smells like a raspberry candy, and shortly after, the raspberry becomes a bit cinnamon-like. Unfortunately, the flowers take a bit of a backseat, while orange blossoms give a hint of freshness. The base, however, is incomparably warm, vanilla-like, slightly almondy, and long-lasting. An absolute cuddle scent, gourmand, sensual, simply pure seduction! Not just for winter; especially now on hot days, it's very pleasant to wear. It's not too heavy, which you would expect from an oriental fragrance!
