Vibrant Patchouly Judith Williams 2010

Orange blossom combined with a somewhat artificial wood mix, not really patchouli as one usually knows it. No significant development, no excitement, yet the scent is very present. For me, it is not THE olfactory delight as advertised on TV, but a loud, striking perfume that lacks fine-tuning.
However, I receive a lot of compliments when I wear the scent... and since I have a relatively large collection and use many different perfumes, I am surprised that this particular scent is so well-liked by many on me.
Somehow, it must have something after all.
But is it really by Pierre Bourdon? How much time did he invest in it? The creator of "Dolce Vita" and "Iris Poudré" is supposedly also working for Jeanne Arthes. I suspect it is similar to many large artist studios: the maître has many assistants. And they don’t always create masterpieces, but good, wearable, solid average.

I received this perfume as a gift from my mother, as I love the scents by Judith. Vibrant Patchouly, grrrrrh, the air really vibrates. It shimmers and the shutters start to rattle, that's the kind of aura this little fragrance has. I don't know what makes it glow, I think it's the overall composition.

Judith Williams has once again shown a good hand with Pierre Bourdon. One of the best perfumers in the world, who used to create for the big names. A true artist! Vibrant Patchouly is a scent that you can't find anywhere else. This fragrance is unique. I've been approached about it so many times. Because it is so quirky and yet so pleasant. With this scent, your blood pressure rises just a little. A delightful thrill. Vibrant Patchouly - it won't be my last bottle!

The scent is quite nice and may appeal to some ladies. Tastes in fragrance are indeed different. However, I really expected more from this perfumer. The longevity of the scent is very poor; after 1 hour, it is no longer noticeable. Such a shame.
