VLJ + Strawberry + a hint of driftwood
Pink Couture is a rather typical Viva La Juicy flanker. It carries a lot of the DNA from the original and the others from this line. But it has its own little twists, too. The sweet, ripestrawberry in the opening is very noticeable and easy to identify, with a bit of equally sweet watermelon blended in. But there is also some extra creamy jasmine and something that makes the fragrance a little tarter than most other VLJs. I think the salty driftwood and slightly sour cassis play a part in this. I think this is a very summery and fun version of VLJ.
The base is the typical vanilla and caramel/praline that you will find in most VLJ flankers. It always reminds me of a glossy caramel hard candy. This flanker is not as floral as the original, as the sharp honeysuckle is missing, but a little closer to the pure gourmand base of VLJ Noir - just with more fruits and freshness on top.
I don't think that you really need this if you already have some Juicy Couture fragrances and don't collect them, it's not that different. But it's nicely done. If you don't have a VLJ yet and like strawberry and a bit of a seaside holiday vibe, this could be the one for you.
