MMMM... Juliette Has A Gun 2016

It is a perfume that, due to its name and the color of its bottle, one might think that it is a sweet raspberry, but in my opinion it is far from being that. It is true that it is a sweet aroma, but it is not the typical sweetness of candies, it is a fine and delicate sweetness that seduces you until you cannot stop smelling it.

At the beginning, a fairly intense floral set is perceived, in which the geranium stands out remarkably accompanied by a somewhat synthetic orange blossom. I can't make out the raspberry at all, but a liqueur-drenched cherry appears instead.
Menthol and cold notes accompany this floral output, which give way to powdery notes from heliotrope.
Afterwards, vanilla and sandalwood blend into a very harmonious tune that I find quite attractive.
If you like perfumes with a vanilla background, this could be to your liking.
Its longevity is very high, lasting more than 10 hours on the skin.

On my skin the heliotrope, vanilla, sandalwood and carmel really stands out. The florals are in the background with and the musk, patchouli and raspberry nearly detectable at all.
It's soft, sweet, powdery with that almondy scent shining through, most likely from the heliotrope.
I like it and it will be fun to test i trough all the season of the year, right now I think it's the most wearable in the fall and winter.

I like this perfume, but it reminds me of Candy Gloss with tuberose. It’s really not that unusual (which I tend to go for) but it does smell great. It has fabulous sillage and longevity. The bottle is pretty.
I expected it to be different.
Alas, it’s not a purchase that I would make for myself.

Personally, I don't get it.
I expected a sweet, fruity, somewhat girlish fragrance. After all, if you call a fragrance "mmmm", it should be delicious, shouldn't it?
But it turned out to be an old powder with a dash of iris, barely detectable raspberry and vibes of "old cosmetics".

Dislikes.

Projection and longevity are modest.

In the town where I grew up, there's a family owned Mexican restaurant that's been there since before I was born. Inside, there are multiple dining rooms, but my favorite has an ornate hacienda fountain decked with statues and flowers. When I was a preschooler, the flowers were real, but by the time I was an adult they'd mostly been replaced with artificial. (I assume the upkeep of the indoor jungle I remember was insane.)

I don't know how, but Mmmm... smells EXACTLY like that fountain room. Warm woodsy musk, balmy white and purple flowers, and a slight undercurrent of caramel. There's also a not-quite-spicy vibe, like...spice-cabinet adjacent? I assume it's the neroli and patchouli mix making that happen in my nose.

I don't get any berries or vanilla at all; it's disappointing since that's what I was most looking forward to! While I can believe this is a gourmand, it definitely isn't on me, which is bizarre. Vanilla (and sugar in general) tends to jump out on my skin and berries of all kinds turn sweet af on me.

Instead, this is a beautiful, warm unisex floral on a musky sandalwood base. I like it, but I must admit I'm baffled. If you're reading the reviews hoping Mmmm... will definitely be a frothy vanilla raspberry confection, get a sample to test it with your chemistry first because it can apparently turn into this. It's lovely! But not at all what I expected. I'm quite glad I got a discovery set instead of blind buying.
