Anyway, Ummm...Moving On
Where is the passion? I recently tried this whole house collection on a fabulous fragrance vacation to Vegas...! I always find the fragrance in every experience...it's true. I must say that to my nose JHAG is synthetic smelling and trying too hard. I get the clever concept behind each name and some of the notes are pure genius, but they seem to wilt on my skin into a awkward wompy malfunctioning clown jack-in-the-box with a sad scary clown song playing in the background. The one single thing I recorded i my scent memory about this scent was that it was not particularly memorable in compostion. The sillage was excellent- there is definitely something in this bottle. The longevity was also not shabby at all. But this one was one of three by JHAG that is a codependent Ambroxan complex and I feel it pushing that envelope, not pushing the limits. Wear this to say- modern and Ambroxan-savvy but not particularly creative or unique. This is of course, presented in the most stunning bottle with that gorgeous font that keeps me wanting to own one- but it will likely be Mad Madame, Vengence Extreme or Citizen Queen which atleast dare to be flamboyantly fabulous. Anywho...

I'm nonchalant
The company itself describes this scent as "nonchalant," so how can I really get excited about it?! Not exactly a description to make me want to rush right out and try it!

Anyway came in my Juliette Has a Gun Discovery Kit, and as I like to work methodically through things, I began at the left end at Anyway. I'm sorry I did. If that were the only scent in this line I had to sample, I'd write the whole brand off altogether. It is not loud or cloying, it is simply too masculine for my tastes (though my husband didn't like it either). I have never been a fan of the unisex fragrances since they became all the rage in the 90's. CK One was headache-inducing, and this one reminded me of it. I don't like the initial smell but the drydown does improve it a bit, though it seems reminiscent of Not a Perfume.

Longevity is very good, but it does stick pretty close to the skin.

All in all, not worth the price tag.

Anyway
Anyway starts out with the top notes of neroli and lime. It’s a nice citrus aroma that doesn’t have quite the same intense lime as something like, Set Sail St. Barts. It’s downplayed and actually quite lovely in its presentation. I have to say the opening is my favorite part of Anyway, it is fresh and smells great.

I love lime in a summer fragrance, but there are so few that can truly hold on for long periods of time.

That’s about as good as it gets. The initial top notes fade after about ten minutes and what you’re left with is a musky mix or floral notes and ambroxan.

It’s warm but almost completely without any personality, in my opinion. There is only a hint of that nice lime left and it all just smells very blasé. Anyway becomes as indifferent, as I become to wearing it.

Summer and not always smelling like the others...
When you're as old as I am and have pretty much had everything in your nose and on your skin, it eventually becomes hard to find something... Motto this summer, just not like the others and please not roses again.
And it shouldn't hurt... I say, who likes to smell like a 7-story brothel... if it doesn't suit you, I couldn't care less.
What would I like? Lemon... lime, not just in tea or water... on me.
Searched... found.
It doesn't hurt... Any is just by the way. I have no body scent, meaning everything that comes out of the bottle stays that way. Shower gel? Nope, not scratchy either... but pleasant in the nose, cool, somewhat distant and anything but floral. It doesn't last very long, but it doesn't give you a headache and no one turns around. Works at 27°C and you smell nice without standing out and it's not mainstream.
It's summer after all and meant for that... it reminds me a bit of Chanel Chance Eau FRAÎCHE.
In winter, I wouldn't wear Anyway, I prefer Dior Addict (unfortunately the newer version) in blue and in bucket loads.

From the inconspicuous things in life that turn out to be true treasures
How often do luxurious and unique things turn out to be items we actually don’t need? Isn’t the lipstick in the perfect nude shade used up faster than the most beautiful red? Aren’t it often the basics of our wardrobe that we prefer to reach for? What suits our life better: the silver chain or the diamond necklace?

“Anyway” is such a silver chain - or if you prefer, the perfect nude lipstick. This fragrance doesn’t seek the big appearance, it presents itself rather introverted. It is inconspicuous, likes to hide under clothing, but occasionally flashes subtly.

And just like with the purchase of basics, it wasn’t love at first sight for me, but I gradually learned to appreciate its quirks.

Even the citrus-fresh opening doesn’t roar at you like a storm, but is merely a gentle breath of air. After that, there is a calm, and you can only sense “Anyway,” but just when you think it’s almost gone, it asserts its presence with a sharp, almost masculine hint. For me, it’s too light to pinpoint a fragrance direction.

Like the discreet silver chain, “Anyway” is equally wearable for both women and men. Although the packaging might not exactly win male approval.

In one respect, however, my previous comparisons fall a bit short: “Anyway” is by no means a generic blend. It is creative and certainly has its quirks. It’s almost a shame that you are the only one who can perceive its uniqueness. If you’re looking for compliments, this is not the right choice. But for that morning reach into the mirror cabinet, it is definitely a good and safe choice.

Casual freshness from a light musk. In the citrus-floral area without any distinct notes. Synthetics aren't all bad, not great either

Boring fresh/musk washing powder. Another JHAG leaning heavily on a brand name aromachemical with no real attempt to blend. Quelle surprise.

A fresh floral, ideal for after a shower. The lime disappeared in a flash, but luckily, the neroli persists. Suitable for discreet people.

Very pleasant. An everyday wearable. Fresh, nice, unobtrusive.

If it had better longevity, it could be an okay choice for the summer months. But that’s also assuming that you could get it at a cheap pric

First intrusive,
then more cuddly.
Ambrox is annoying.

I find it really unremarkable ...
I have to wonder about the listed
scent twins!
What are you smelling?
Citrusy-woody something!

Smells like algemarin shower gel - like freshly showered. Neroli + lime don't come through. For me, it's more aquatic, but not bad - clean scent.

The combination of lime, neroli, and hedione is nice, but the synthetic base makes the scent feel too generic, which is annoying.
