Vanilla for travelers
Who doesn't like to travel? And what helps us in our dreams to travel to other cities, countries and even continents? Different smells, for example. Such as Vanilla, that is one of those historical spices, which in the past were brought from faraway distances and were of great value. Therefore, probably in our heads it began to be associated not only with the smell of sweets and bakery, but also with the aroma of travels, something distant and unknown.
I call this L'Artisan's Vanilla “vanilla for travelers”. It combines the sweetness of precious vanilla pods with the echoes of tropical salty air and the tarred wood of piligrim ships. It is rather bright, sweet-resinous yet spectrally it is more on a dark side of the palette (it also seems to me a little synthetic, but just a bit).
All in all, it is a nice, long lasting, good quality L'Artisan Parfumeur creation, however their Havana Vanille is still my number one vanilla of this brand.

Salty Vanilla - Best in the game
This is undoubtly for me the best vanilla on the market, one of the best l’artisan scents and the way it floats in the air is just gorgeous and elegant thanks to that iodine/salty/fresh air accord.

I am so in love with this and it has nothing to do with Juliette HAG. Quality of raw material and ingredients are just a step above all here.

A true tribute to vanilla using the most expensive raw material. 10/10

Salty Vanilla
L’Artisan Perfumeur takes a star ingredient, vanilla, and dresses it with sea salt and sea breeze, giving it a unique and sophisticated touch.

As it develops, the vanilla becomes creamier, enveloped in sweet and woody notes.

The scent is not at all cloying like salty scents can sometimes be, everything is very well balanced.

A truly beautiful and delicate perfume.

Comfortable salted vanilla fragrance
This is an interesting perfume. Comparisons are pretty spot-on since there are similarites in the beginning between this one and Vanilla Vibes. I get well-blended salt and vanilla. I also get occasional whiffs of florals as the perfume rocks back and forth between saltiness, powderiness, sweetness and floral accords. I was hoping Madagascar vanilla orchid would be more prevalent in the middle notes, but it only imparts a slightly creamy texture to the scent. There's a hint of woodiness coming from cashmere wood and a whole lot of warmth and sensuous resins appear towards the middle. Salt fades away slowly, giving its powderiness to the perfume as it dies down. The drydown is floral vanilla with a hint of warmth and sensual resins. It's comfortable to wear, safe and pretty lovely. It feels like the more grown-up version.

Overall, it's a lovely upgrade to Vanilla Vibes because of its depth and complexity. I'm not sure I'll be adding a bottle to my collection as I've come to realize I'm not a fan of salt and sweetness mixed together in a perfume, but for a vanilla lover or a person in search of a nice spring / summer fragrance, this could be a good choice!

Just close your eyes and she'll take you there...
I wouldn't say this is a salty vanilla per say, but the salt note(paired with the bergamot) is definitely present in the way that it gives this light airy-ness to the fragrance and what a DELIGHT it is compared to the more commonly found heavy, sickeningly sweet gourmand vanillas on the market. It may not be the most complex fragrance but I'd say it's also far from being simplistic; you can really tell the quality of the notes here and how well-balanced it is.

It truly is a breath of fresh air. Or I guess I should say: a breeze of fresh air. The clear image of eating a vanilla ice cream by the seaside while the marine breeze attracts to the wetness of your tongue everytime you take a lick of your ice cream, the air tastes of salt. The warmth of the sun on your skin, staying with you even after the sun sets and you walk back home. It's light yet comforting. Delicate yet balmy.

I'm heartbroken that L'artisan Parfumeur decided to discontinue this beauty. Another one that got away...

An original take on a light green vanilla, salty and delicate. A true rarity in the current panorama, one of the best, in my opinion.

Smelled oddly herbaceous and not at all aquatic on me. Not the light, floral vanilla I was looking for.

Vanilla pods lay on a pile of salt. Surrounded by the warmth coming from resins, it's a great salty and sweet fragrance for summer vibes.
