(Eau De Parfum version)
Lalique Pour Homme is an elegant, gentleman's parfum with a decidedly "old world" vibe. It invokes the imagery of lemon meringue from Chez Maxim's, floral bouquets stolen from the Luxembourg Gardens; all housed in an antique cedar curio cabinet. Powdery, and citrus-y in it's softly sparkling top notes; hushing down to a quiet rosemary-tinged floral in the "mid". While the vanilla infused cedar, sandalwood, and a critical dose of oak moss, provide structure from start to finish -keeping the character masculine. Albeit a Masculine in wire frames and garters. (That's men's garters, you kinky puppy, you).

What raises this fragrance above most "designers", is (Maurice)Roucel's evocative blending of ultimately, standard modern materials: Imbuing them with a simplicity, and "naturalness" more characteristic of perfumes from a bygone era. All the notes hit with crystal clarity, true to it's Lalique roots. An easy wear in spring and summer, for dressy yet relaxed events. Longevity lives up to it's parfum strength. Likewise, the sillage. But, projection is disappointingly soft. Yet, Lalique Pour Homme still stands firmly on it's finely loafer'd feet. Although this fragrance is not recommended for the young modern-scent crowd, it's undeniably a quality composition in the classic style.

A Swellegant affair!

Longevity: 8/10 (in base)
Projection(in summer temperatures): 6/10 (in mid)
Art/Creatives: 8/10 (bottle, juice, and concept)
How: mature, dressy but not necessarily formal,
summer, vintage(y).

Classic
Classic.

In my opinion this is most suitable for older people; may smell a bit dated.

This fragrance smells mostly vanilla and cedar with a touch of herbs and some spices.

It has a great lasting power (around 10 hours), but a soft projection and sillage. Definetely a must have for any fragrance lover.

Great classic !
I had it when it was released (I was a teenager) and always returned to it.

It begins with lavender, fruity and floral notes, patchouli, with a background of vanilla, amber and cedar. Then the opening notes slowly decrease and the background of vanilla-amber-cedar take center stage. It's soft and sweet but not too much. Rather unisexe.

To me it's a marvellous classical aromatic woody, very well-balanced. The sillage and longevity are very good with the EDP version, much less with the EDT.

It's the mainstay of my small collection. Lalique make other interesting fragrances you can try such as Encre Noire. But this one is my favorite.

Sadly good vintage-like
Personally, I think it's a great masterpiece, but there are some sad perfumes that didn't get good feedback from ladies. For example, Terre D'Hermes(9 out of 10 Korean ladies really hate this!), Aramis Pour Home, Davidoff Zino, and so on, and Lalique Lion is one of them.

Lion has a heavy barbershop vibe that feels a little rusty, and it evokes for me, an image like leather seats in a vintage car, an image like a villa made of logs in the woods, and old movies featuring Clint Eastwood. They are intricately intertwined, and the senses are both very old-fashioned and in fact really sophisticated. The slightly cold lavender and herb accord harmonize with mild spices and moderately sweet vanilla-sandalwood accord. This is a late '90s piece of work but incredibly '70s style, so it can be said that it has such a conservative masculinity.

But it's like... Lion is comparable to the legendary vintage perfumes that many fragheads spend a lot of money and time searching for. The quality of it is just amazing, and it's exceedingly cheap! It's an item that's outstanding for the diversity of the collection, and the bottle design is the best of the best in the perfume market to match Lalique's reputation.

The only problem is, if I spray it in my room, my wife in the living room runs with holding her nose and gets angry. Female employees in my office do the same thing. Too sad.

Cedarwood vanilla bomb
TIMBERRR!

Opens with lavender, citrus, and an outstanding cedarwood. Dries down to a cedarwood vanilla bomb. Classy and mature and with great performance, this one offers fantastic value, but you really do have to love cedar to be endeared to it.

At first I was going to blind buy the EDP based on rave reviews, but when I had the opportunity to sample both, I found the EDT brighter and more pleasant to my nose. The EDP is a bit more herbal, but bone dry.

Its dry-down notoriously shares a similar vibe with Creed Bois Du Portugal, even more so with the EDP, but Lalique Pour Homme Lion is a great fragrance as it stands irrespective of the characteristics it shares with the Creed.

Masculinity Level: The Untouchables about to kick Capone's ass.

As much iris-patchouli as a lavender-cedar will ever be. I prefer the edt for its note clarity.
