Fruit sun with a long shelf life

The association of solar fragrances is different for everyone. Let's take Jil sander sun as a prime example. Suffocatingly sweet and penetrating. I miss the vibes of yellow fruit, sea breeze and sunscreen. Soleil lalique really pops with a fresh mandarin. I would classify the fragrance as a bit of a diabetes shock, as praline, musk and sandalwood come through very quickly. I don't smell a hint of pear sorbet or café au lait. On the other hand, the cardamom tickles properly at the beginning. I find the persistence to be strong. But in my opinion, there are other fragrances that are more deserving of the sun in their name. It was worth a try. It's okay for everyday wear but nothing exciting.

Cozy sunrise

The name "Soleil" is fitting for this fragrance, which surprises you right from the start with an energetic opening. Not a blinding, hot sun, but the comfort of a mild sunrise. A balanced combination of fruity freshness, light spice and sweetish warmth.

I notice the pear note from the very beginning, it accompanies the entire fragrance. The effervescence of the manderine in the opening gives way to a deliciously gourmand softness as the sun rises. Jasmine, perhaps complemented by the milk accord, provides a creaminess and rounds off the overall impression.

Once the sun is metaphorically in the sky, or once the fragrance has fully unfolded, it remains constant. The transitions are so gentle that they are barely perceptible to me.

"Soleil" embodies joie de vivre and is unique. Unlike other summer fragrances, it is neither "only" fresh nor "only" sweet, which makes it a versatile and interesting companion for many occasions. It works best in daylight, where it can develop its moderate sillage and last until the afternoon.

Nice to look at, nice to smell

The Flacon has me so beguiled that I have perceived a favorable offer to order it blindly. He is (see photos below) the descendant of the Nina Ricci classic in real Lalique crystal from the 50/60s, but then filled with other fragrance.
Because he is just so beautiful, I would not have been able to resist him anyway at some point, even if the scent would have been terrible. Is he but fortunately not. He comes but unfortunately also not to the earlier fragrances, which were distributed under the name "Lalique" and are partly still, approach. Le Baiser, the old Nilang, Le Parfum de Lalique...they all had something special, unique selling points, stood out from the sea of the mainstream. Today, if you want to get a high-quality, well-made Lalique fragrance, you have to reach for the higher-priced exclusive scents, or back to the vintages.
Soleil is a ray of sunshine. The flacon sparkles and pleases. The fragrance also pleases me, it is pleasing. But that is not enough, there are many of them. Many that resemble it, even. I notice a lot of sweet, slightly synthetic tangerine, a little cream, surrounded by sunny fruit candy.
Surprisingly, I (and others!) can still smell the candy after 4 hours. It's kind of branded again. (Reminds me somehow of my sister polyester...)
Nice summer scent, better than the newer Escadas.

Italian cream cake

It's a beautiful summer day. In a small Italian trattoria, a cosy serenity prevails. On the small terrace there is still a shady place available. From there you can also enjoy the wonderful view of the small old town. While the clattering of plates, cutlery and glasses is softly audible in the background, we rather take the slight warm wind on our face. Isolatedly, there is even a sunbeam scurrying over our skin. Does it really make it through the juicy green canopy of leaves and warms our mood and brings us to rest.
And what would not go better with it than to taste a delicious piece of the homemade mandarin cream cake?
The very friendly and lively owner puts a pink plate with white cake and apricot tangerine on the table.
With a dainty golden fork we prick into this optical masterpiece and take the first bite:

The smell:
Starts immediately fruity sweet, tangerine and pear fragrant in the day.
Now it's getting tricky for my nose, because it can't smell much more. I can easily recognize the jasmine, which makes the sweet gourmand a bit more cushioned and sunny and friendly. Ahh there's coffee and almond and musk and other fragrance components. I really can't smell them out now, but maybe they do occur in the rapidly decreasing sillage, only I just don't get it That's all there is to it. The fragrance becomes softer, creamier, but remains fruitily friendly on the skin.
The beautiful scent is not the lasting one. Lasts almost as long as my cream cake and disappears with the wind and sunlight.
And it doesn't smell very strong either. Shortly when spraying on, then the 5 min application time and unfortunately it settles down to skin level. (Well, he needs a little longer, but it feels really very short)
If I wanted to describe the fragrance in colors, it would be apricot-gold-orange with creamy white and lots of sunshine.

Conclusion:
Not loud, not unique, not durable. But beautifully made, and fruity creamy gourmand sunny.
A good mood fragrance for the summer. For those brief moments of happiness and smiles.
