Hey,… I didn't even know that Lalique has more exclusive fragrances… well, here on Parfumo you learn something new every day… well,… provided you have a sample of a fragrance that you then search for in the database, I mean how else would you know that there are one or another fragrance if you don't know anything about it?
Sure, you could go through each fragrance brand by brand, but try doing that with 80,000 fragrances! Wow, even the biggest fragrance freak (no,… I'm not talking about myself for once…!) wouldn't want to do that!
But now comes the description of Noir Premier - Or Intemporel, which is quite nice but has a somewhat tobacco-heavy character (although the tobacco itself is not very intense, it is noticeable for quite a while), which is of course not bad. But anyone who likes tobacco will find even more pleasure in this fragrance.
The Fragrance:
I immediately smell the notes from the heart note… mainly tobacco, which surprisingly doesn't smell that bad (sometimes I actually don't like intense tobacco, but it could also be that I occasionally like the note quite well in a fragrance, like here…), as well as coffee, which quickly evaporates at first. Shortly after, you can then smell the black pepper. Additionally, a light fruity note came to me, but it wasn't bergamot… it briefly reminded me of apples,… strange.
The tobacco continues to be the main note a little later and mixes well with nutmeg and the pepper, which is not overpoweringly strong but rather subtle.
A little later, you can smell a noticeably earthy note with the patchouli, which fits quite well with the tobacco-based fragrance.
So the fragrance lingers for a while, until after a few hours the tobacco noticeably weakens, but still remains the main note in the base. To be honest, all the other fragrance notes are hardly discernible at this point, apart from the vanilla. So in the base, alongside the tobacco, you smell a hint of sweet notes, and combined with the tobacco, this then reminds one of vanilla pipes. And in the later hours, I again had the feeling that there was an inconspicuous fruity note in the background.
The Sillage and Longevity:
Even though the fragrance starts off quite well, it unfortunately becomes too weak for my taste too quickly. I find that especially tobacco and vanilla often radiate a bit more intensity than is the case here.
However, the fragrance lasts for fifteen, sixteen hours, which is pretty good.
The Bottle:
The bottle is rectangular and gold-plated. What might come across as a wooden decoration in the photo is actually the patterned glass behind which you can see the fragrance liquid. In the middle, there is a simple black label with the name of the fragrance. The cap is a half-sphere, glossy black, and also has a glass pattern on the top (I think…). A very beautiful and elegant bottle.
I found Or Intemporel actually quite okay, but still a bit disappointing. Disappointing only because I was hoping for a stronger and especially longer-lasting coffee, as I quite like the smell of coffee (as I said before: yes, I like coffee and not just tea. Now you just have to guess which drink… I mean beverage I prefer with milk :D). But apart from that, I found the fragrance really good, especially since it smells very pleasant in the later hours in the base.
Otherwise, the fragrance has become a gentle tobacco scent, which later reminds me of pipes with vanilla tobacco flavor (at least for me). It would actually fit quite well for going out, not necessarily for partying, but for a nice dinner or sitting in a bar, etc… it could work well in any season, maybe just not on very hot summer days, but it is certainly not overwhelming, so it could also be tried in summer.
Well, that's it again. Even if at first you might feel that the fragrance is not a must-have, I believe it gets better over time, making it truly worth a test.
