Right, sniffing perfume, but I could never have imagined the serious consequences of this scent flirtation.

Gelis and Pudelbonzo have already written some really nice comments about this fragrance, but I also want to champion it today.

Because if you want to smell something really, really, really fresh on a day, go try it!

The freshness of this lemon, or is it lemonade (?) or pure lemon (?) is so fresh, so vibrant, so clean, so crystal clear, as if the brain were returning from a three-week vacation after smelling it.

My thoughts are suddenly so crystal clear. I'm not sure if I ever want to smell anything else again...

I have already been thrilled by other fresh lemon-scented fragrances in recent years. For instance, Limon Verde by Guerlain was amazing. The lemon verbena scent from L'Occitane en Provence Verveine is citrus beauty to smell, or the special edition of Light Blue Limon C’est with extra lemons was also so fresh that you could sink into it.

But the clarity of Girl of Capri, which can hardly be classified as just feminine, but is indeed unisex, is a hidden gem for you this summer.

Because if you need a refreshment for your nose, believe me, you will also be asking if heaven perhaps smells like fresh lemonade!

Around me, everyone is busy and cheerful: the harvest of the first early lemons has been brought in! Now it's time to process them: making jams, juices, and no less delicious liqueurs.
The work in the steep slopes of the lemon groves was hard, but that's forgotten; laughter and singing fill the air while hands know what to do.
The first full jug of wonderfully fresh lemonade is ready, lightly spiced with pink pepper.
This was crushed in the mortar - also for later use - so that its strong, spicy aroma merges with the fresh, fruity scents of lemons and bergamots.
Here in the old barn, cooking is still done on a masonry stove; preferably with driftwood collected earlier on the beach.
It is stacked up, well dried by now, and in quirky shapes, in a corner, telling slightly salty-scented stories of life at sea.
I would love to take one or another piece of wood in my hand, run my fingers over its water-polished smoothness, and listen to what this wood has to say.
But I mustn't; the familiar routine, in which everything unfolds and from which the cheerfulness and fragrance in the air result, would be disturbed.

So I, the guest from Germany who has befriended the family and is therefore allowed to be here, have been "banished" to a bench under the blooming grapefruit trees; lovingly provided with thick cushions, wonderfully fresh lemonade (for me, specially without pepper; they know my allergy and thought of it amidst all the hustle and bustle!) and a plate full of delicious biscotti.
It is pleasant here in the fragrant shade, as the grapefruit trees and their many small blossoms emit a pleasantly spicy scent in the sun: It is a fragrance that radiates vitality and stability.
"What was that about hugging trees?" I think, as the wind sends me another memory of the lively dancing sea below the estate.
I can almost feel the spray, this fine mist of moisture on my skin.
I would love to help, but I can understand that I would only be a disturbance at the moment.
So I enjoy my place under the trees, surrounded by aromatic, fresh scent wafts, cheerful people, and pleasant warmth.
Not as "A Girl in Capri," it's too late for that: I am too old; but as an enjoyer of atmosphere, colors, sounds, and wonderful scents. They form a harmonious whole here.
Ah, did I already mention that I am in Capri?

Not Just for Girls

This gently citrusy, yet not sour fragrance is probably intended for summer - but now in the dreary, wet autumn, it also brightens the sky and the mood.

This is a reason for me to reach for summer scents even in cooler temperatures.

Moreover, "Italian" memories arise before my eyes.

This cheeky, lively fragrance is not as "girly" as the title might suggest - because it is also suitable for mature ladies.

A beach walk with the wind in your hair, frothy crests on the waves, and salty air is pleasing to anyone who loves the sea.

The fresh lemon lifts the spirits - slightly muted by woody notes.
Delicate floral hints shimmer through and brighten this positive scent even more.

For me, it is dolce vita under the umbrella.

I Have Never Been to Capri

And so I painted a beautiful picture for this fragrance: lemon groves, a long sandy beach with occasional driftwood, and gusts of wind spraying sea foam over the rocks in the sea onto the passerby…

Yes, I hear you Capri experts laughing out loud. Luckily, I consulted Wiki before starting this comment: no lemon groves, no long sandy beaches with driftwood.

But, I read that limoncello is also produced on Capri, and there we have the lemons. This rocky island probably has plenty of sea foam, and maybe there’s even some driftwood floating around (on its way to a mainland beach), and the grapefruit blossom is likely blooming in some private garden. White musk… oh, white musk seems to be everywhere… right?

What I want to tell you is: “A Girl In Capri” is a beautiful summer fragrance that pretends to be a summer sun sea vacation. I smell lemon, driftwood (woody, a tiny bit musty, like damp wood), and sea foam with a hint of salt. The grapefruit blossom shows itself through a slightly soapy note and very delicate sweetness. I don’t perceive the musk, not even as powder. I imagine it’s meant to hold everything together somehow.

Definitely a candidate for purchase with one drawback: the sillage could - especially in the current temperatures - be a bit more voluminous, so I don’t have to keep sniffing my wrist after a short time to get the feeling described above. The longevity is okay at 5 - 6 hours. Well, I’ve decided that the T-shirt should also get a little of it, so I can have AGIC lingering in my nose longer without having to sniff directly at my wrist. Reapplying is - also considering the quite affordable price - definitely recommended several times a day.

Very pleasant lovely Signorina

Wow! Aromatherapy.. The opening is a powerful burst of tangy citrus notes. I am awake and feel delighted.

I also immediately smell bittersweet grapefruit, but also woody-floral notes.
It reminds me of Light Blue without the apple (which I can do without and only liked in the 80s apple shampoo Pomme d‘Api (was that from Yves Rocher?).

The scent quickly becomes tamer, closer to the skin.. and fades out slightly creamy and somewhat salty-sea-like.. I still smell citrus notes, without any chlorine cleaner or fruit candy, delicately. Really absolutely pleasant.
Add: Before my eyes, I see a woman with an uncomplicated aura, the sun warms her skin (which still has traces of seawater and sunscreen, but no intrusive neroli-sweet sticky cream), the sea air drifts over, but she is sitting more in a café behind heated dunes or in a square in the old town. The lemon aroma comes from a tree, not from a lemonade drink.

Compared to her relative Trussardi Pink Marina, which is dressed in white, summery fine and radiant, standing at the windy harbor by the sea and letting the wind blow through her, the masts and sails of the yachts clattering.. the girl in the dress is sitting and eating a creamy ice cream and seems more carefree, playful, and less elegant than the somewhat more sophisticated Pink Marina.
