Pleasantly surprised
I wasn't sure what to expect from this as the reviews have been polarised. But to me, this is a sexy warm boozy floral that project like crazy. I will let it sit for a while and come back to it after its mellowed as the plum nit is very strong in the opening. It kind of reminds me of angham by lattafa, haven't seen anyone else make this comparison though.

Cuddly soft for layering
Presentation / bottle :
The presentation is really beautiful. The rather heavy perfume comes in Acqua Di Parma-style packaging. The bottle is really very high quality. The base seems to be made of ceramic, as is the lid (the inside is made of plastic). The atomizer is typical of Lattafa, although slightly better and somewhat pressurized.

Fragrance:
I'll say one thing in advance - it's definitely feminine enough, but it's also completely unisex, because who cares. The main thing is that you like it yourself, which I definitely do.
When you first spray it on, it seems a little synthetic, it remains slightly synthetic, but not as strong as at the beginning. Tuberose and musk - these are the two notes that you smell the most overall. A light, warm vanilla and some praline make it nice and cozy, almost like a nice detergent. It smells super clean, but feminine. I have often smelled this combination of musk (and) tuberose in women's perfumes. It's definitely very elegant. The rum becomes sweetly recognizable after a few minutes, the plum is there from the beginning, but I think it's also slowed down. If it is, it seems like a bergamot to me, but perhaps there is simply no bergamot listed, i.e. slightly citrusy-fresh in the opening. I just wonder where the coconut is. It's there, but more like in Lattafa's "Quad al Fursan White", creamy, but not in coconut-water form, as we know it from most coconut-heavy perfumes.
Overall, I think it can be described as a combination between Quad al Fursan White and Tom Ford's Soleil Blanc, or rather a sweeter version of Soleil Blanc.

I was hoping to get something similar to Creeds Virgin Island Water, especially with the combination of coconut and rum, but it's not. I'm not disappointed, it's different, but it does its thing very well. The coconut is too weak or too "hard" for Virgin Island Waters and the raw sugar is missing for that liqueur-like feeling (and the lime, but you can see that when you look at the notes).

After about 3 hours it also seems more boozy than before.

For a woman this thing would personally be a 10/10, for me as a man a 9/10, but perfect for layering.

Performance:
The projection for these notes is blatant, I would actually have expected a weaker longevity. So for me the fragrance lasts longer than any summer fragrance I have, about 9hrs, if not longer.
The projection is also strong, strongest in the first 3 hours, and everything milder (e.g. Imagination, Elysium, Coconut Lagoon), which I combine with Petra, seems to fade into the background. Sillage suits the fragrance - not intrusive, nice and cozy and medium distance.

I also compared it directly with Ministry of Gourmands (Paris Corner) "Coconut Lagoon" and have to say that it is simply a different kind of fragrance. The CL, of which I also have a detailed review, is really a summer bomb, especially for warm days at the beach - a super authentic, tangy mandarin with fresh coconut. The Petra is more (for me as a man) something for the evening in summer or also something very good for spring / fall or great for layering. But above all, the two are great together.

Conclusion: Doesn't completely blow me away but is really very nice - the Petra could be great for the ladies in particular.

Plum. Rum. Tuberose. Petra is different.
Petra is not a fragrance that quietly ensnares you - she comes in, pours you rum, throws ripe plums around and leans back and relaxes. The opening is sweet and boozy, but not cheap.

Then it becomes softer and creamy. Lush tuberose accompanied by a gentle coconut note that is reminiscent of relaxed summer days. Exactly what I love.
The base? Praline, musk and vanilla. Sweet, but not overbearing. Petra plays with contrasts: floral creaminess, sensuality and a coconut that shines through to the end.

If you like Casamorati - Quattro Pizzi, you will definitely find parallels here - but Petra is darker, louder and more sensual.

A lasting power of over 7 hours and a decent silage make it the perfect fragrance for summer evenings. Loud, sweet, seductive - but with style.

Hope for warm summer evenings
I have finally received the perfume and was able to gather my first impressions.

After the first spray, you get a very present plum note with a crisp rum sweetness. This remains for the time being. In the background, a coconut note paired with tuberose gradually comes to the fore and takes over after about an hour. Here I recognize slight parallels to Her Confession.
In the drydown, I smell a clear coconut sun cream.

The fragrance is never pungent. You really get what the fragrance notes already tell you. The perfume is really very successful and I can imagine wearing it on summer evenings.
You would have to test its durability at such times.
The perfume doesn't have a particularly strong silage, but is perceptible on the skin for a very long time.

The fragrance is rather feminine, but I imagine it would also look great on a man (including me) in summer, especially if the vibe is right. I'm thinking of an evening stroll by the sea combined with a classic dinner with a partner.

After the first tests, I'm giving good feedback for now.

Greece... or simply everyday cream
Petra is a fragrance that confuses at first sniff - and that's exactly what makes it interesting. For me, it is like a simultaneous memory of two completely different worlds: a Mediterranean vacation, somewhere in Greece, with warm wind, ripe fruit and sun on the skin - and at the same time the silky, slightly powdery aroma of a nostalgic face cream from childhood.

The surprising thing: Both happen at the same time. Not one after the other, not in phases - but at the same time. This plummy rum note with its dark sweetness lies right next to this soft, creamy skincare vibe. It smells a bit like skin, a bit like fruit, a bit like old times - all at the same time, all very close.

It is precisely this simultaneity that makes Petra so difficult to categorize. It is neither clearly gourmand nor clearly floral or fresh - but hovers somewhere in between. And although this irritated me at first, over time it became exactly what kept me sniffing again and again.

The texture is pleasant throughout - like a fragrance that unrolls on the skin: soft, silky, almost shimmering.

Conclusion: Petra is not a "simple" fragrance, but a fascinating one. Sweet, creamy, retro and modern at the same time. One that raises questions - but slowly provides its own answers when worn. And perhaps that's why it's one you won't forget.

Creamy and sweet with a strong tuberose. It has a good projection. If you like sweet scents you will like this. I love this one.

A powerful fragrance that lasts a long time. It's boozy, coconuty with a strong tuberose to pull it all together. It's a greek sunset in a bottle!

Puhhh-tra! A mix of Khamrah + Her Confession? Or did they just dump all the Lattafa leftovers together?! Definitely too much of everything! *

Dolce Gabanna the one and only intense with rum and plum, second test goes better now, still not a candidate for purchase.

I don't find Petra summery at all. Just a heavy tuberose-rum-plum bomb. Rather old-fashioned or outdated. Unfortunately, no.

I smell Ambrocenide with a prickly fruity synthetic scent. Unfortunately, the other notes get lost beneath it.

I had a friend with that name, this scent would suit her, not me. It's too fruity and sweet-floral for my taste.

The top note disappears very quickly, and then you're left with a not-sweet dry baby powder scent.

Definitely not my favorite from Lattafa. Tuberose, plum, rum sounds good, but not here. Not my taste, better to test first.
