between foam and silence - total remembrance of my father
Champ d'Influence is a total surprise for me! I really didn't think that a fragrance would remind me of my father.

I can remember my father standing in the bathroom in the morning and watching him shave as a child. The smell of the shaving cream, the ritual he always performed in the same way - it's just a memory of good old times!

And that's how Champ d'Influence smells to me, it starts with notes of lemon and lavender, followed by a floral coolness (probably due to the rose geranium, which brings something cool to the fragrance). Before it then becomes earthy and slightly smoky due to the oakmoss and vetiver.

It is simply a great barbershop fragrance in a classic style that reflects the feeling of cleanliness, soap or aftershave. It's masculine but not overpowering!

In conclusion, I would say Champ d'Influence is a fragrance that beautifully combines the past with the present in the style of a classic fougere fragrance. The H/S is good but not brute.

But decide for yourself

What a....
FOUGERE! WOW! Where should I start? I'm a big fan of fougere and am always on the lookout for new ones to add to my collection every now and then. I have to say, this one really could be the best fougere I currently own! It has the potential to knock the Jermyn Street from my collection off the throne in the fougere category.

When I came across this fragrance by chance and read the story behind it, I immediately pricked up my ears and was keen to try it at the next opportunity. The perfumer behind this fragrance describes it as a homage to his grandfather, namely a classic shaving foam accord ==> exactly my thing!
So off to Oberpollinger and a few sprays on the pulse and let it take effect. I had the feeling that in this case the fragrance pyramid was turned upside down and started with the base notes. Immediately this wonderfully beautiful, highly polished oakmoss paired with the vetiver came up. Only then did I notice a bit of lavender.

What comes out in the end is the following: a really soft, beautiful, clean, somewhat earthy, absolutely masculine and masculine, unmistakable fougere for gentlemen that smells like shaving foam! This scent is oldschool (but don't worry, not musty or grandpa scent) but still packaged in a modern way! And I'm not a big fan of oakmoss but in this case it's an absolute dream, hats off to the perfumer for how well he packaged it!

As a comparison, I suggested Elite Eau de Toilette here, but clearly much much better, lighter, more modern. I find Elite to be very heavy, musty, a bit grandpa scent (but the drydown is great!)

Speaking of comparison, I see that this fragrance is compared to Oud 31 ==> I don't know how you come up with that, but it definitely has nothing, but nothing at all to do with Oud31. Oud31 is a strong rose oud fragrance. This is as described above....

Performance:
Easily 8-10 hours on me and then close to the skin, sillage is great, not too intrusive but still noticeable. You leave a wonderful cloud behind you. For the fact that it is a fougere, I am absolutely mega satisfied with the performance!
And I see that there are hardly any ratings/reviews for this fragrance, which surprised me a little, but all the better that it is completely under the radar, because then the wearer of this fragrance is very exclusive! :) Incidentally, I was asked about this fragrance twice in one weekend, which went down like oil, you certainly know that ;)

I usually wear this fragrance in the office or casually at the weekends after a long wet shave! It's also suitable all year round! Really delicious and a must-have for all fougere fans among us!
LG!
