Gentle Alien
On those days, no it wasn't one of those hot days where even the freshest scent becomes overpowering, I saw three testers of new fragrances at Lidl. Since I had the experience that Lidl offers great scents at a low price, which are better dupes than their expensive counterparts, I decided to try them out.
Galactic Phantom starts off floral for me, and I could sniff out iris, rose, and jasmine. However, a strong smoky and resinous note quickly joined in. Comparisons to Alien arose, but this scent is not as intense, nor does it hit you so extremely. The thumping note persists and persists and persists. After about 5 hours, it weakens. Overall, the scent disappears after 8 hours.
Now something not so pleasant mixes in for me. It reminds me of my childhood, when in the 60s, Christmas parties were organized for us little ones at my father's sports club. We would go to the club's local pub. The landlady, Mrs. L., placed a lot of importance on cleanliness. Especially in the restrooms. There, it smelled of flowers and freshness. Since it was an old slate house, the smell of tobacco smoke from the pub wafted through the beams and mixed in the ladies' restroom with the scent there. But the faint smell of pee could not be masked by the fragrance. This slight pee smell now mixes in the dry down of the scent for me. No, I don't want to smell like that.
