Pretty flanker with no staying-power
Alberto Morilla's creative output is immense. Think of masterpieces like "Armani Sensi", "Mugler Cologne", "Kenzo Flower", or of last year's "Iris Prima" or "Flower in the Air", to name just a few of his compositions.
"Daisy Dream" for Marc Jacobs/Coty from 2014 is closely related to the light, charming scent of Kenzo's "Flower in the Air". And, of course, "Daisy Dream" is the youngest sister of the "Daisy"- collection. The new scent is a pretty, fresh, and volatile harmony. Not very distinctive, but very pleasant and totally innocent while it lasts - i.e. for 15 min. And that's the really bad thing about "Daisy Dream": it has no staying-power at all. If you don't want it for your collection because of the gorgeous bottle, I'd recommend you buy one of those other flankers of "Daisy" with better staying-power. Those Daisy-fragrances don't differ that much from each other, with "Daisy Dream" being the lightest.

Softer Interpretation of Daisy
Of all the Daisy flankers, this one suits me the most. The original Daisy EDT and I had our ups and downs with the grapefruit sadly turning quite sour on my skin. Daisy Dream is a much softer, more powdery interpretation of Daisy with less grapefruit and more floral notes.

If you weren't a fan of the original do not pass up the chance to smell Daisy Dream. You might find yourself pleasantly surprised just like I was.

Daisy Dream is a carefree, powdery floral on my skin with dominant accords of wisteria, blackberry, jasmine and pear. It still has that touch of youthfulness with the fresh fruity top notes however it's a more grown-up version of Daisy in lots of ways.

It has less bite than the original, preferring a more airy, subtle approach. It would make a beautiful Summer fragrance as it never becomes too overwhelming, however with that being said the poor longevity leaves much to be desired.

Marc Jacobs promotes this fragrance as a scent inspired by clear blue skies. I do get a sense of this in both the scent and the cute packaging. Whilst I may never add Daisy Dream to my collection, I am immensely pleased to find that Marc Jacobs is beginning to create Daisy flankers with some slight scent variation.

amazing scent, horrible longevity
This was my first designer perfume. I love the scent, to me it's very ethereal. Unfortunately it has absolutely awful longevity. Because it was my first real perfume, I had no idea that perfumes could last longer than 30 minutes. So it took me YEARS to get into perfumes because I didn't think they were worth it. I wish I could find a good dupe, because the combination of blackberry and wisteria is just heavenly. If you like the wisteria notes in this, I highly reccomend the Drop D'issey series. Lilac and wisteria smell very similar. They are way better for lasting and very beautiful. If anyone has a good reccomendation for a fresh blackberry fragrance please comment! (no vanilla pls)

Daisy Dream
I consider the original Daisy to be the quintessential spring scent, and Daisy Dream is more of a summery version of it, with the lychee and coconut water notes. Similarly to Daisy, I find Daisy Dream to be not very long lasting, although it projects more and is longer lasting than the OG Daisy. After some time, I think I've come to actually prefer Dream to the original! Pretty affordable too, I got a 30mL from my local Ross for twenty bucks.

Springtime fairy fountain
This is such a delicious scent. I wish I could curse in my review, but idk if that will get it flagged. This scent deserves good curses. Like, wow.

My biggest qualm is its lasting power. Practically non-existent. But gosh, it’s beautiful while it lasts.

This is the fountain of youth for all ages. So fresh, free, and fairy-esque. It makes me feel pretty and it brings me closer to joy.

My first review of this scent:

ordered a sample to get free shipping, but wow - this smells lovely. I find that the scents I most enjoy are often overlooked as simple or not long lasting.

The thing is, people can smell these scents on you long after you stop smelling them on yourself. I have a nostalgia around Daisy Eau So Fresh but it doesn’t compliment my chemistry. However this fragrance, cousin/sister/friend of the latter? Perfection.

It is: daydreaming in class, skipping along dirt roads, basking in the sun, touching grass. Seriously, it’s a soft whisper of comfort and beauty. It feels more mature than a sweet girlish scent though, but still young and a pure that feels sexy.

I would be happy wearing this while cuddling my boyfriend in bed, or for a solo brunch date, for a first date, for a last date…who cares, it would make any occasion better.

Very soapy and powdery scent with fruits. Prominent notes are blackberry and blue wisteria. Longevity is good in my skin, 6 or 7 hours.

I don't get any of the fruit notes. I can only smell coconut and clean laundry. It's nice, but I wanted the fruity notes.

Maybe my sample is old or something, but to me this smells like hand soap. It's not bad, just not all that interesting.

I really enjoy the grapefruit opening! Sweet fragrance, but fades quickly…

a fruity medley with blackberries and juicy lychee at the front. The dry down is fresh coconut water with white floral fruits

Anais from Gumball, Jenna Wednesday but Canadian. Nice florals, wish it lasts longer, like losing your baby after 1sec of turning your head.

Warm, clean, creamy, slightly soapy; a soft, sweet fruity-floral that's comforting and approachable.

Bright, fresh, and slightly fruity for about 5 seconds before it disappears. It was nice... but I'd have to reapply all day.

I see the Daisy Dream scents more for young girls, synthetic fruit mix with coconut water, lychee. Nice, friendly. Carefree.

Dear Daisy, beautiful bottle yes - but that's not enough, remember, no matter how you look, only a beautiful scent heart matters! That's all that matters!
